Exactly. Take the goggles off and look who throws the first and extra shot after the whistle. Kitchener is soft overall. 85% of the time the scrums are physically started by the Knights. Pugliese may chirp you, Andonovski may physically start something but that's been toned down to a huge degree by the staff as his importance is on the ice. Outside of that there isn't much bite in their game. If the Knights can be put on tilt by a few words and that constitutes "the extras", well that's just sad.
I think this is fair. I can’t speak for Kitchener, but London does initiate a lot of the extra curricular between whistles which I theorize does not benefit them when the actual game is being played. That won’t change at this point. Just hope it doesn’t cost them. Enjoy round 2.

I would agree with this, London has the most poop disturbers per capita in the league I think. Every line they put on the ice, has someone who can and will try to get under the other teams skin.

We saw earlier in the season Kitchener try to physically intimidate the Knights and the Knights shrugged it off every time. London can play a speed and skill game, but they can also play the physical and grind type of game.

I think it is going to be a really fun series and I am certainly looking forward to it!

Over the years I've always considered Kitchener a team that relies more than most on good luck.. throwing pucks to the net from anywhere. I hope Simpson is ready for that. There will be chaos in front of him at times and I worry he will slide himself out of position at some point during the chaos.
Didn't Willmore play most of the games against the Rags this year?

I am not going into this series with any anxiety. I am fully confident the Knights can get this done in 5, 6 at most. I was almost more scared to play Erie as they seemed to have our number this year. If we make it past this round the next series I will be feeling quite anxious about the Knights chances against either of those two teams. I just feel as though Parsons is going to have to steal 2 or 3 games for Kitchener to win. I have the crow on the stove but the burner is still off at this point.

The Knights have just built a team that is so hard to play against night in and out as @LDN has pointed out. We are full of size and grit this year that compliments our high end skill very well. It is a well built team.

I’ll be honest. Erie also scared me. They gave us trouble all year with their speed. Spence is going to be a great player in this league.

Erie scared us too. 3 OT's doesn't sit well with me. London should take this pretty easily, unless the Rangers play with some urgency (which has been non existent as of late).

I think Kitchener's urgency changes a bit when they play London.
London should win this going away but what should and does happen in junior hockey doesn't always correlate.

I mean Kitchener HAS the firepower, I have just found that they don't seem to have the chemistry they had to start the season. Was there a rift in the room or something? At the start of the year they were certainly overachieving, but since Christmas they have been underachieving.

Parsons certainly scares me, when he plays the Knights he is either hotter than a firecracker or colder than an icicle. We shall see, regardless I do not think either team like each other and we can fully expect some shenanigans going both ways.

They seem checked out honestly. Very lazy in their own end. Focus on watching the Rangers tonight for a few shifts and watch them try to clear the puck. It's a spectacle (this reaches totality in the 3rd period). I think because they have the firepower in their back pocket, they think it works all the time. It definitely is something London will focus on, because Rangers do have some shooters that will pick corners seemingly out of nowhere. Parsons is playing enough for any contending team to go all the way, it's usually the d-zone errors that lead to really dumb goals.

Agreed. I think both teams will hit another gear and it’ll be a good series. I hope we can take it in 4 of course, but I could bet easily see it going 6 or 7

Refs:
Ingalls
Nichol
Good??

To add on to that, most of the Rangers D are not really great puck movers to begin with are are mediocre defensively. Burtsy can move it, but he seems to shy away from physcial contact so if you are on him quick he will cough it up. Andovski always seems to save his best for us though. I expect him to break his donut streak in the playoffs.

Ando got all the love on the coaches poll and he deserves it. He will be ready, and hopefully that spreads to the other D. Good luck!

Go Time!

I could a game or 2 with these teams getting touchy n aggressive.

Gotta think the Knights will pick a D or 2 to target and be hard on.
London are what they are at this point. A team that'll take penalties, can play hard n with skill, great STs and a solid tender. They will push KTown n take some penalties. Limit Rangers 5 on 5 and all will be good as LK should be able to score 5 on 5
