3-3. Like it. Nothing easy to start. Now time to hit another gear.

Only thing I can find thus far

Delaying the Game:

"If a player of the defending team deliberately displaces the

goal and, in the opinion of the Referee, the puck would have

entered the goal had it not been displaced, or if the defending

team deliberately displaces the goal when the goalkeeper is

off the ice, thereby preventing an obvious and imminent

goal, a goal shall be awarded in lieu of a penalty shot.

OHL Rule 63.7

63.7 Awarded Goal - In the event that the goal post is displaced, either
deliberately or accidentally, by a defending player, prior to the puck
crossing the goal line between the normal position of the goalposts,
the Referee may award a goal.
In order to award a goal in this situation, the goal post must have
been displaced by the actions of a defending player, the attacking
player must have an imminent scoring opportunity prior to the goal
post being displaced, and it must be determined that the puck would
have entered the net between the normal position of the goal posts.

It's worthless garbage.

The Rangers are upset about the one goal with net off pegs. Is it a good goal according to rules or should it of not counted? Not familiar with the rule

Yeah, I think I’ve seen similar situations in the NHL re Barkey’s goal.

Anyone else a little concerned for the OHL given all these Ontario draft eligible kids threatening USHL and even BCHL?

Not really interested in watching glorified junior B/Midget hockey going forward but I guess we’ll wait and see.

Wish there was a way to limit u.s junior/ colleges from getting Canadian players but there obviously isn't an easy solution

Don’t worry! The OHL will still find the talent. Don’t be concerned

I would be.... anyone can go NCAA for NIL (Name Images Likeness) and if the rules change further you could have CHL players opt for NCAA any any point. The league needs to pivot if they want to remain as a premier development league.
The NCAA just took the one strength the CHL had.

Fair enough. Let’s see how things shake out after the 1st round(eg how many 1st rounders commit

I question if this has something to do with consistency across the league. Our teams have always benefited from great facilities and well run organizations drawing players. Not all other teams have been as fortunate as us and I question with so many top NHL picks now coming out other leagues and the OHL minus the Knights not producing top end talent consistently like they used to if players haven't figured it's best to go where the big fish are.

The play should have been blown dead, or in the process of blowing it down the moment the post is off. If it was done on purpose, call it delay of game, but surely not a goal, I don't like this call, and I'm a Knight fan

Doesn't the USHL have a limit of 2 Canadians per team? If so then it's a non issue

I'm sure the league will take this into consideration

I think this is where the rule actually says this shouldn't be a goal. As the net was knocked off, the wrap around was attempted and didn't go in, but the secondary play did. There are two chances on the same dislodged net.

I'm not as bummed about this one as Bruz scored immediately after and this wasn't a GWG. Let's see if the league says anything.

Can't wait to see and hear all of the "Hunters own the refs" complaints after the correct interpretation of the rules by the officials in Barkey's goal. We certainly didn't own the refs on the 5 min O'Reilly penalty did we. Soir grapes as far as I'm concerned.
