CK playing through injury, assuming that's what us going on, isn't helping the team at all; so why is it occurring?
Is it Kreider stating he's good to go and the coaches giving him the benefit of the doubt, or is the org pushing him to play?
Either way it hasn't really been working so maybe both sides should re-evaluate

Kreider has been allegedly hampered by a back injury. In that context, this may be more of that and less of the Zucc syndrome.

Then why has he been playing? Why did he go to the 4 Nations when other players sat out to heal injuries? Why was he called out by Drury and healthy scratched by Laviolette? Nobody said boo about his back until after the Memo. reeks of excuse making, which tis team has done over the years with injuries (see: Trouba in 2024, Strome in 22)

You approve of Kreider's play this year?
I think it’s been pretty bad, and I’m disappointed. I believe the end is near. I am just willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he is not just giving it 3/4 effort for spite, and he’s not lazy, and he’s not a member of the country club etc.. I just choose to believe he is honest when he says his back is impaired, and he’s trying to contribute without making his back worse. Granted, that doesn’t change the fact that he’s not really helping the team, and he’s preventing the young guys from showing what they can do.

Kreider is the president of the country club

He should go home if he's hurt, he isn't helping the team this way and if we make playoffs and he's still hurt he'll be even more useless.

Well to be fair... there are a lot of healthy players not really helping the team either.

The season has been a letdown.

Kreider is the president of the country club

Pics or it didn't happen.

Rempe’s name gets mentioned more on the Roster Building Treads than the word “Rangers”.
Should we petition James Dolan to change the team’s official name to the
New York Rempes?
Maybe our success will change?
It certainly couldn’t hurt.

I mean, he has sporadically missed games, he appears to me to be laboring out there. A lot of guys played hurt or wanted to play hurt in the tournament. Hockey players generally play hurt all the time. I hear you, but I wouldn't rule out that Kreider's play has been affected by a back injury. As someone who has suffered through back injuries, it's no joke.

It is funny how quickly we went from hearing “he wouldn’t be going if he was hurt” to seeing Matt Tkachuk play mascot on the bench after two shifts and Charlie McAvoy playing with a case of Gangrenous shoulder

The cold reality of hockey players being dumb and medical staffs being negligent is undefeated

It would seem that if Kreider's back was that bad---that the coaching staff would have said to him somewhere over the course of the year---'you need to take some time off and let it get better'---whether that meant a week, two weeks, a month, two months and WTF is he (why did they let him) playing in this 4 nations tourney if it's still an issue. Anyway this has been a complete shit year for him. Maybe not as bad as Mika's but close enough.

I know it's an 'honor' to play for your country but if you really want to go all out patriotic then enlist in one of the services. I did 4 years and I still don't get all this nationalist bs. But then again I've never been in the spotlight for whatever that's worth. If anyone's interested and probably not but I'm going to say it anyway I kind of think it's not worth much. But anyway he's paid by the Rangers to play for us and if he's hurt but off playing for USA I don't care for that at all. Focus on your real job. There's been little enough of that. We've been wasting a lot of time watching shit efforts and first game back against a shitty Sabres team and we get destroyed 8 to 2 and then this other abortion of a game against a pathetic Pens team Igor absolutely had to steal.

Lavi was telling Kreider about his vegan bean soup recipe, so most of us would have the same reaction as Kreider.

It's such a weird dichotomy. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Players are crapped on for playing through injury. Players are called pu**ies for not playing through something.
You'll always get dissenting opinions but I'd argue that "play through it you p***y" is generally reserved for the playoffs when everyone is 'playing through injury'. The prevailing wisdom now appears to be, "go on LTIR so we can replace you and have you, and your replacement, healthy for the playoffs"

Othmann should be playing with JT Miller to learn to emulate his style, grit, and effort.
LOL...then he accidentally should take Kreider out to speed up the progress of being a team regular.......Kreider is not going to do him any favors since it means he could be in another city next week.....the last thing he wants to do. He will milk this back stuff until his days as a Ranger run out.....no team will take a chance on him and it will be the same next year .

He's missed all of what, 5 games and his back was fine enough to go play in a meaningless tournament? Yea his back is fine.

CK should not have played in the tournament imo and likely would not have if they did not have injuries. He barely moved vs Canada. No disrespect but I do not understand why we would ignore all the beat reporters reports of playing through a back situation when the guy looks like a shell of himself physically. He did not start the year looking like this.
