Right now this series is about who's goalie can play just well enough to win. It's Junior Hockey....I love it
And it's also about the Knights burying their chances. Losing a game when you've outshit a team 58-24 is unacceptable. It means two things...poor quality shots and not burying the high quality ones.

How many of you actually expected the Knights to win last night after seeing that the twins would not be playing?

To me, the fact that they took the Petes (in their own barn) to OT after a less than stellar performance on the back end and missing two of their hottest forwards is extremely reassuring for the remainder of the series!

Plus, who knows how many of the other players were dealing with flu-like symptoms, but played through it anyway?

I, for one, still like the Knights chances, just like I did in the Sarnia series after game 4 when many of you began writing them off.
To me it was more about the loss of Cowan more then anything. To me he has been our MVP.

Hey you’re the one that wants to meet me. Just make sure you’ve got some good food, and a warm bed for me, it’s a bit of a drive.
And going forward I’ll use numbers instead of names so my observations don’t upset you. Go Knights go!
What that attitude I think I will invite the dog in and let you use his bed outside

There’s that Northern hospitality :) Go Knights go!

That's odd. I went with a group of people to the two away games in 2006 for the OHL Chapionship and it was likley the best OHL experience I have ever had in an away arena. The staff were amazing...the fans I met were great. And after the Knights lost we went to the liquor store to drown our sorrows only to fund the doors locked as they were trying to close. But then they saw our jerseys and let us in.

But then again I've only been twice...
Ya the story I read online, the guy said most fans were awesome and they had a great time. The complaint was limited to a small pocket which involved getting police over. One day I’ll make it to Peterborough.

And on the positive side, we are only1 of the 2 remaining fan bases with the ability to discuss our team's actual games. The Championship Series, no less. Given the experience level of our team, at the beginning of this season, how many would have predicted where this team is right now ???

We left the wreckage of some very ambitious teams in our wake, to get here, and I'm still not willing to write these guys off. The Petes are NOT invincible, and can be shut down. The Knights really haven't been blown out by a lopsided score, but these games have been close and highly entertaining.

Get the split in Peterborough, and return to the Bud, with a healthier line-up.

The best way to protect your goalie is to be at the other end of the ice shooting on their goalie. If the Petes are getting chances some of their shots will go in. I'm happy the petes are winning but you really can't blame Bowen for all of this. Petes are a highly skilled team that will take advantage of opportunities that they are given. Carry on.

P. S. - sure is fun reading about "factors" on the London thread.

Ya, not a fan of excuses. Petes are better right now. Hopefully still.early enough London can be opportunistic n sneak by.
Refs n injuries ate what they are. Both teams dealing with it.

I like this post. The fact that this was an OT game with two of our top 3 players out and starting goalie out was a positive sign.

BUT. It’s also frustrating that a few saves would’ve stole a game where we were undermanned on the road. That’s extremely frustrating for me.

Lots of hockey left. Coaches will have a plan but going to need some saves or else Willmore might be making an appearance

With all due respect to Peterborough, their personnel on the ice isn’t as scary as Sarnia’s. But they’re finding ways to win these games.

A little less offence in the Petes system and no one the calibre of DelMastro or Mallioux on D, but the Petes forwards are better hockey players than the Sting had.

This Knights team has surprised all year, any reason why they won't again?

I wanna see the team D stand up more at their blue line, don't give the Petes F easy entry. Regardless if Bowen is told to stay away from the square corners on dumping, you gotta force that. Easier n safer to defend/ puck battles off the boards n corners than giving up the blueline to them with speed.
Petes did that more often than London did.

I love the challenge LK has here. Up against a vet group, that has proven thru the POs the can make big plays, be opportunistic and battle hard ( my old GAF meter has them on a notch above LK right now)

We either tie it up and go into a 3 game series or go down to a very tough road to overcome

Petes fan coming in peace -
Who is the person who stands just off the Knights’ bench and wears the black cowboy style hat ?
