Nevermind some of the initial saves not being made, the rebound control is non-existent. Hunter is a smart hockey man, if “dummies” like us can see it I’m sure he will find a goalie for next year not hoping to see something that isn’t there.

The Knights did select a goalie in round 2 this past draft, maybe Bowen gets traded

Bowen hasn’t had a chance on the 3 goals tonight, I actually think he has made a couple good saves when called upon. The breakaway I thought he could have closed the gap better. But not his fault, very tough play. No chance on pass across goal, bad Edward pinch but more so bad breakout bounce on the weird boards and shot from the point looks bad, but he had no shot to see it with those 2 battling in front of him.

Also, where has Diaco gone? Is he playing hurt? Just doesn’t look like the guy we saw all season.

I think Bowen is a good backup, but he needs to work on agility, and post to post moves. He’s so slow. And maybe do some breakaway drills so you don’t get deked out of your jock EVERYTIME lol! Nothing he could do on that breakaway, but the stalwart goalie in the OHL will make a few saves from time to time.

Bowen has played fine, the stop on Robertson was clinch… hard to stop a shot you can’t see and a breakaway expert in Avon.

This is the Petes. They are the rope-a-dope team of the decade. Better skate fast and shoot at the net when you have a lane (Bonk)

When I played goalie I was told to fight through the screen to try to see the puck, not just drop to my knees. Odd how Brochu would save those.
And maybe this Russian kid is the real deal, that would be good. Likely still need a vet. Maybe trade for Simpson and bring him home? Although he’s shown some interesting quirks. Lol

Yeah I said maybe…and it’s because of the experience he will have and yes he’s older - Hunter favours older players. He’s not my first choice that’s for sure. But he’s ahead of Bowen. It will be fun to see what next year brings.

I’d have to double check the stats, but I’m pretty sure Peterborough was sub .500 or right at it post deadline. They’ve just gotten hot in the playoffs.

Puck was in but Barkey pushed Simpsons pad in to get it to cross...hence no goal.

Not to piss on this post, and I don’t completely disagree, but what about the coverage? No one is on that side of the ice. There is more to it than just the goalie.
