You do know this is a discussion forum don't you? I gave a tangible stat. Sticks and stones may break my bones but stats will never hurt me.
Dude, junior hockey goalie stats (in a tiny sample, no less), are worth less than the peanuts in peoples’ bowel movements. I would argue 3 full seasons of a goalie’s stat line in junior are still worthless considering the various players that will come and go. I hope your day job is not analysing data of any sort, no offense.

On another note, goal scorers were all 17 and younger tonight. That’s a positive.

I have used the ignore feature 6 times this playoffs. I have many good friends on this board but probably going to sunset on the whole forum after the season is over.
I don’t have anyone on the ignore list, I just scroll on by but understand where you’re coming from.

As someone who has attempted suicide in the past, I’d hate to be the target of criticism beyond my direct superior at my place of employment. On a public forum and teens no less.

I get that this is a discussion forum but there really isn’t much worthwhile discussion. It’s mostly just knee-jerk reaction posts singling out one player when most goals against involve 6 players and the other team executing. This is why London fans are hated.

Hats off to the Petes.

Nope. I don't analyse data day to day.
Yes the youngsters are playing well (btw Barkey just turned 18). The Twinterton line is unreal. Some of the vets just haven't stepped up. Maybe they're gassed, maybe they're hurt, maybe they're sick. Who knows. Same goes for Bowen. Maybe he's nursing something. He just doesn't look like the Bowen from the last 2 games of the Conference Final or Game 1 this series. Fighting the puck, not tracking well, overpaying side to side, slow to react. I also just don't understand benching Gaz, dessing the 3 rookies on the 4th line and they don't even see the ice? In that case why not dress an extra D-man (Leonard).
Hopefully come Friday they'll make some adjustments and play their game and not have to chase the game.
In Hunter we trust.

I see it as commentary. It isn’t personal. Players get singled out for great play and vice versa. Maybe non goaltenders can’t see or don’t understand the lack of rebound control or the poor agility that leads to being out of position for a goal and that’s ok. But when the play is poor enough that it affects the game as much as it does it’s not something I ignore. You can ignore the comments of course. But to debate and say Bowen isn’t playing that bad etc - well that’s where I say two things: it’s a discussion forum so have at it, and second you’d be very wrong :)
Sam Dickinson continues to amaze as a 16 year old. And I was hoping to see more of O’Rielly tonight especially with Gaz benched (which I didn’t agree with).

I really hope Bowen comes in Friday and lights it up like he did in Game 1. We know he's fully capable. We've seen it this season. He just needs to get out of his own head and get back to basics. Trust your D and play your game.
He's taken a lot of criticism the last 3 games but he did have 3 great games before these last 3 (and one of those happened to be the Conference clinching game in Sarnia) so we know he can win a game away from home. No reason he can't string together 3 really good games. But it all starts Friday.
Lets Go ZB31!! One game at a time.
I think Hunter should reunite the 16-14-70 line.
26-86-7
14-16-70
39-21-29
28-74-90
Roll 4 lines and pressure, pressure, pressure.
Go Knights Go!

Lol right because you can’t ever criticize the team you’re a fan of. Ever. For any reason.
you can criticize all you want....but piling on and on and on and on and on is just nauseating. We heard it all the 1st 50 times.

I invite anyone who has griped about the same thing over and over and over and over and over to do the same to their spouse or partner.

Or better yet...tell them they aren't as good as the last person in their position

Let me know how you make out

I felt at the time giving up the lead in Game 2 and Game 3 you just can't overcome these mistakes at this time of the year. The Knights deserve a lot of credit as they have battled back from each of these "series turning events" but seem to have hit a very fortuitous opponent who capitalize on the mistakes. It's been a great run and if there is any Knights Team capable of storming back its this team, but without our Number 1 guy between the pipes it's a very tough task.

As for our goalie wasn't this the same kid the majority of fans were thanking for saving our butts against the Sting? Come on guys were starting to sound like Leaf fans (of which I am one) who flip flop on player assesment depending on the direction of the wind? Marner is star, Marner sucks, Marner is a star .....

Come out strong at home boys and send er back to Peterborough for Game 6!

The Knights were not outplayed the last two games, they were out scored by the opposing team. No one player was responsible for that. They have won three games in a row before and lost three in a row. This series may or may not be over but it’s been a great ride this year and this team has to be proud of what they have accomplished this season. Can’t lose sight of that fact. 18 other teams in the league would be happy to be where they are right now. Leave it all on the ice Friday and cheer them at the end of the game regardless of the result. We were thoroughly entertained this year.

Might be a long time before we are back here.
LOL, no disrespect intended but you should probably not be forecasting the future performance of the Knights? I do give you credit for "laying it out there" regardless of what others say but somehow you always seem to be incorrect. How many games was it this team were going to win this season? ;)

One very entertaining season which quite frankly has to be considered a success regardless of what happens the rest of the way! Brochu was on fire and can't help but think he may have been the difference? But it's a sport and the games have to be played!

It is too bad but injuries are all part of hockey, Knights have Brochu and they are at least tied 2-2 or they are up 3-1. As far as I am concerned they have outchanced the Pete's but Simpson has been great. On the other hand every time a Pete shoots on the net you just hope/pray for a save.

God luck on Friday and hopefully Bowen can return to game 1 form.

Still long series, tides can turn. The Petes had the same issues in Ottawa and NB, with some of the goals let in. You got a rookie, that is an enormous amount of pressure on him. Couple of the goals, blame def not him. Too many point blank shots with no defender. Still says 6 or 7.

Regardless of the outcome the experience of a long playoff run will benefit all the rookies. Peterborough is a very good team with lots of experience and older players. They luckily have their #1 goalie available and this is no slight on Bowen. We need to bury our chances and eliminate theirs plain and simple. I shift at a time. Can’t win game six and seven if you don’t win game five first. I am behind these kids all the way and this is by far my favourite Knights team in eons. The adversity they have overcame and stuck together is fantastic.

The Knights regrouped after the death of one of their players. Likely the biggest challenge these KIDS have ever went through in their young lives.

I'm not here to make friends, we've established that time and again. What I am here to do and will continue to do is to call out people who seem to have nothing better to do with their lives but call out a teenager. I get the frustration, trust me I've followed this team for over 50 years. I've seen it all, but some things are just not healthy in today's age.

Yes ..I'm an advocate for Mental Health / Mental Illness and the LGBTQ community, but a lot of things said here really don't need to be said. That can't be disputed. It's not healthy to repeatedly kick dirt in someone's face. They will eventually lash out in some form. The provocation on these forums is relentless.

I just want everyone to take a deep breath and count to 10 before posting something you know will provoke someone. I saw the lures in the water last night trolling me to come out, but in reality, what does it prove? That I have a better ability to strike a nerve? That's not something to be proud of really.

We LOVE this team, but unfortunately there's not much love on this forum. I'm not asking everyone to hold hands and sing kumbaya, but a little mind check before a post can go a long way. This is a really toxic enviroment created by a handful of posters. Not a good look.

Anyway...I'm out...laugh at my rant, poke jokes at my life, do anything you want that makes you feel better. At the end of the day the only person who has the right to judge me ...is in the mirror

That’s an interesting take lol see now you’re just saying you don’t like what you’re reading. I’ll be sure to let you know when you hit the reruns too.

Reading it once is enough. I don't need to read it 50 times. It's pretty bad when you have to literally scroll through PAGES and not just posts to find anything resembling chalk talk

New day! Who starts in net? (Of course it’s Bowen). Does Gaz slot back in? I think he has to. One game at a time now, win at home which has been almost automatic…then back to Ptbo for what would be the toughest game of the year and if they can pull it out toss a coin for game 7.
The trade for Winterton and Humphrey was magic wasn’t it?

Friday should be interesting.
The 4th win is always the most difficult to get.
My prediction is we win game 5 and lose game 6.
Peterborough will be the better OHL representative at the Memorial Cup.
This season was a success for me. Anything beyond beating Kitchener was bonus hockey.

My thoughts are let’s take this a game at a time. If we take game 5 the momentum shifts towards us.

146-86....That is what the Knights have outshot the Petes by in their 3 loses. A few takeaways from those loses.

1. Goaltending has to be better plain and simple. Obviously Bowen has not had a chance on some of these, but it is getting old letting it snappers from the top of the circles with no traffic

2. Defence has to stop the mental breakdowns, like mentioned in point 1, Bowen has had no chance on some of these goals because our so called "Strength" is taking too many silly chances leading to odd man rushes and even breakaways. Petes have scored on three breakaways over the last 3 games, the Knights have not even HAD a breakaway in the last three games. Defence please play defence.

3. Hunters Lineup choices?? Why are we putting O'Reilly in the lineup to sit and watch the game from the bench? Where is Leonard, his play this season has warranted him being in the lineup in the OHL finals. Dress 11-7 or hell even put Leonard on your 4th line to simply skate up and down the wing. Landon Sim is giving his heart and sole to this team on every shift, yet he has been relegated to 4th line duties? Come on Dale he should be playing over a guy like Humphrey who has cemented his ass in the box every night and accomplished nothing this finals.

4. The future is bright, we all see the potential Bowen has and how he can play when he is on his game so that is encouraging. We are going to have an extremely exciting group going into next year and win or lose this year it is going to fuel them to be even better next season which is dangerous for the OHL's Western Conference. Can't wait to see Barkey feeding Dicky for one time bombs on the PP next year!

I'm not wanting to put a fork in my own team....but I think this is done Friday

I didn't think I'd be in my seat agin until next season...and I got to watch 2 rounds...that's bonus for me

The way the season began, I thought we would be battling for a 7-10 seed so Kudos to the boys. Absolutely no one had them pegged as Western Conference Champs and OHL Finalists ( maybe champs who knows?? ) after the first few weeks of the season!

I think you have to take it to an even smaller scale, need to win each shift on the ice. If you can win majority of shifts in a game, good things will happen. Too many times in the last 3 games, they have just had stretches as a team where they lose shift after shift. Have to limit those and get back to what got them here, tight defensive hockey, protect the front of the night and clear rebounds. Make it easy for the goalie. They aren't the run and gun team they have tried to be the last few games. If they can get back to, tight lock down defense and make it their goal to win every shift. They still have a shot to win this series .... I hope anyway!

Agreed, The Knights should simply watch film of the last three games of how the Petes play defence. Then just simply emulate that. Their D keep it simple, and strictly play a defense first game. The Knights have had 5 or less odd man rushes combined in the last 3 games, very hard to score on them. We are getting lucky the Simpson is letting in a few weaks one every game here.
