Agreed, The Knights should simply watch film of the last three games of how the Petes play defence. Then just simply emulate that. Their D keep it simple, and strictly play a defense first game. The Knights have had 5 or less odd man rushes combined in the last 3 games, very hard to score on them. We are getting lucky the Simpson is letting in a few weaks one every game here.
For sure, the shot total is skewed in London's favour. But the shots don't tell the story. The Pete's do a great job of keeping everything to the outside and force perimeter shots. The 51 save night by Simpson, he played good but I would say London had only 6 or 7 real scoring chances. Probably 40+ of those saves came from the outside.

Simpson is letting in as many weak goals as have gone in on Bowen. You don't notice them as much when your team is actually finding the back of the net.

Bowen is the hill you're willing to die on eh?

Simpson has let in some weak goals but he is also stopping many more shots. The Knights have had over 50 shots in games 2 and 4 and 39 shots in game 3. Simpson has stopped most of them.

On the other side, Peterborough is not getting nearly as many shots and Bowen is stopping less.

The Knights are playing well and generating chances. Their goaltending isn't giving them a chance to win these games. Plain and simple.

Veteran vs rookie and it is clear who is winning the battle.

:huh:Lotta chum in the water today. Retreading whats already been stated adnauseum.

Knights defense are pushing the envelope in the offensive zone but finding it difficult to contain the Petes forwards in own zone. Combination of odd man, breakaways and almost miraculous bounces. Or forwards are doing what they can.

I would hope we can harness the energy without the constant trips to the sin bin.

Regardless of result on Friday, I am thrilled with this team.

As some might know, i have refused to number my 2005 jersey. But friday i will purchase a new jersey with 15 on it. This season really has shown us what it means to be connected.

I've counted maybe a handful of saves each game where Simpson is truly tested. Everything else has either went in...or has been from a non scoring area. Hense the reason Save PCT is a useless stat

That pretty much sums up where we are.

Any good coach will tell you he'd rather see more shots less scoring chances than less shots more scoring chances against his team

I'm not wanting to put a fork in my own team....but I think this is done Friday

I didn't think I'd be in my seat agin until next season...and I got to watch 2 rounds...that's bonus for me
Agree...Knights done Friday...Petes have too much MOJO. We beat this team with Brochu and the way he was playing. I have restrained from fault and criticism.

It always amazes me how many so-called Knights fans are so eager to throw in the towel.

We've already beaten a strong Sting team after losing two consecutive away games and won 3 in a row (with Bowen in net). Who's to say we can't do it again? The team has been battling flu issues this week and were visibly lacking in energy these last couple of games, and when you're tired, other parts of your game can start to slip as well.

Look how well the Knights played during those 3 consecutive wins. Hopefully, a couple of extra days rest and they can get back to that point, both physically and mentally. They definitely need to tighten up their defensive coverage, but going back home, I'm sure Dale and company will have them ready to go!

....but don't worry jumpers....we'll save you a spot on the wagon!

Although admittedly it is looking bleak, it's not over until someone wins that 4th game.
If the Knights can win tomorrow and maybe get some jump back in their step, there's no reason why they can't go into PBO and steal one there. They've won away games all playoffs. So let's defend home ice and then go grab one in PBO.
An uphill battle, but this team has battled uphill all season. Time to do it again.

LOL, no disrespect intended but you should probably not be forecasting the future performance of the Knights? I do give you credit for "laying it out there" regardless of what others say but somehow you always seem to be incorrect. How many games was it this team were going to win this season? ;)
Also, London will be right in the thick of things next year. I'm really excited to see the boys next year.

Team is just not good enough to beat peterborough. Might be a long time before we are back here.

3-1 now. Hopefully peterborough gets smashed at the Memorial cup
Seattle will run over everyone my guess be Pete's go winless at the mem cup BUT so would london imo

We already accomplished so many goals this year as a young team!
Just remember Mark Hunter didn't sell the farm in the trade market and oh yah we still have Bonk 😉 next year will be very exciting 😀
Plus +++ Cowan, Barkey, Dickinson, Julian, Crane, and Bowen.
This season was just a dress rehearsal. Any deficiencies have been duly noted, and corrective measures will be taken to address those. Will it get any better ???

The boys will bring their best tonight. Sometimes that’s enough and sometimes it’s not. No shame in that. No matter the result it’s been a great season and we should all be proud of what this team has accomplished. A lot of difficult obstacles were put in their way and they did all they could to overcome them. Good on all of you.

I will be there cheering my butt off you can count on it. @ 71 years old I don’t know if I’ll be around for next championship run. Oldest ever living male in my family was 73. Odds are not good and I really think the boys have a decent chance to pull this out. Whatever happens happens and it has been a truly awesome season. This group of kids have really given us old timers something to cheer about. I refuse to complain about the kids as I know they are doing the best they can under the circumstances they were given.
