I agree with game two, but usually by games 3, 4 and 5 we start seeing our opponents slow down a little bit because we keep coming at them hard with all 4 lines.

100 percent on penalties, if Humphrey plays more than Sim tonight I think I might just go crazy he has yet to be effective in this series.

Faceoffs are huge as well, very good point. We have not started with the puck almost 70 percent of the time, not good!
The Battalion actually rolled 11 forwards, not just use the 4th line as an occasional energy line. The Petes just kept rolling 7 plus one or two; and got better as the series went.
I think the Kinights might be better off rolling two lines.

I disagree with the spoiled brat statement. I believe that expectations can change through the year. Kitchener thought they were a contender at the start of the year. Windsor too, look what happened. Pete’s are up 3-1 in the OHL final after finishing 4th, if they were to lose would it be fair to say “oh Pete’s fans should be happy as they weren’t expected to be a top team”. I think they’d be gutted.
With the Knights much like the team that went to
Shawinigan, that team peaked a year early.
Yes it’s great the Knights are in the final - it’s still a disappointment if they lose. Both can be true.
You'd be on to something if the expectations actually changed, but they didn't. This team was written off by many from the get-go. Then they were written off again at the trade deadline when they didn't get Wright, or Harrison, or Del Bel Belluz. They were criticized for only bringing in Diaco, Winterton, and Humphrey. They were written off when they went into their February/March alumni.

Many didn't see them winning the first round, more said they had no chance against Kitchener and the vast majority said they had zero chance against Sarnia.

Expectations never changed. I stand by my comment. This team made it farther than most Knights fans thought they would even before the semi finals started. If someone is of those that wrote them.off along that route then they are a spoiled brat if they are angry if the Knights don't make it to the Memorial Cup.

2012 Knights I find interesting. I know the narrative was that they were a young team that peaked early but they had big contributions from veteran players - Tinordi, Hughes, Houser, Watson, McKegg (sort of), Knight, Namestnikov. Even 18 year old Griffith and Harrington were already third year players.

This version seems younger. And getting pretty good contributions from veterans but there aren’t many of them. Most of the team can return next year but other teams will be more veteran heavy after trades as well.

I think it’s not mutually exclusive - you can be younger and lose and be happy and disappointed. Can’t tell me that it doesn’t still bother players from the 2012 or 2004 Knights that they didn’t win Memorial cups. While this team has overachieved when looking at the whole season, it’ll probably hurt for a long time if they lose this series. You only get so many cracks at winning.

Do or die game, and FRESH talent gets the start......I don't get it.

WAAAYYYY TOO MUCH PRESSURE FOR THIS YOUNG MAN TO HANDLE AT THIS STAGE! Not fair to pull this in my humble opinion.

I wouldn’t be angry if they don’t make it to the Memorial cup. A bit disappointed - you only get so many OHL finals, but it’s still a successful year.

Good first period overall but yet again can't bury chances at 1/2 the rate the Petes do.
Keep plugging away.
Quick feet, active sticks.
Almost got them where they want em :)

Team playing with renewed confidence knowing If they make a mistake it isn’t ending up in the back of their net. The mojo is different and you can see it. Tight game though.
Major props to Pete’s captain, he’s not just sitting on the bench like he has been, he’s actually taking shifts with his jaw the way it is. Looks like that hit shook him up a bit though.
