I'm not defending anyone...I'm stating the obvious of how the brethren around here reacts to adversity. Just tug down the skirts...hide the panties...and enjoy hockey we shouldn't even be seeing

The Knights shouldn't have made it this far.....c'mon

and the Talbot Grille is rediculously over priced for sub par food
Actually, they've stepped up their game lately (TG). You're right about it being bonus hockey, but making it this far and then being at the mercy of poor goaltending is frustrating.

Last time a Goalie was the only member of a TEAM to get his name etched on a league Championship?

I'll wait

The Petes are just on a different level of want than the Knights are right now

Knights players are playing well. If Bowen was only letting in some of the high danger chances that maybe Brochu saves that’s understandable. But it’s the multiple weak goals that no one should let in that’s frustrating.

Been there & did just that ! Remember last season and who got to tend goal when Brochu went down ?

Name ANYONE else who is capable of stepping in right now, and will do a better job than Bowen is. I'll wait for your astute recommendation as to who Mark & Dale have obviously overlooked.

Relax....just consider this series as a dress rehearsal for next season. All our 1st & 2nd year players....including Bowen, are getting a wealth of experience, no matter how this plays out.

For myself, every game from the 2nd round on, has been an improvement over last season, and I'm enjoying each one for the entertainment value, over the frustration level.

I get that...but nobody is fixated on his age...his inexperience in games like this...his inexperience against a team that wants it more than the team in front of him. Everyone wants to just burn the poor kid on the cross...but nobody is looking at the fact he's giving everything he has right now. To win his team has to be on the very top of their game....they are not even close to that right now

The Knights ARE NOT playing well...what series are you watching? Simpson is letting in as many or more weak goals...why can his team rise above it?

I’m commenting on his play. It’s not personal. He’s also 18 which is a pretty standard age for an OHL player. You also can’t say Peterborough just wants it more when the Knights are right in there with them and it’s 2-1 after three games that could have gone either way.

You are right, Dale and Mark have no choice and it's not a question of making a choice one way or the other. It's the frustration of Bowen not being able to make a timely save tonight or last Saturday. If he plays only half-decently the last two games we are up 3-0. He's struggling, but unfortunately, there is no one else to step in. Just make 1 save to keep us in the game or in the lead. He blew 3 leads tonight. Three! Not the team, not the coaches. he did. Period. Experience is great, but when you're playing for a 'ship everyone needs to step up...next man up. He hasn't stepped up the last two games and it will cost us a league championship. Imagine how sweet a trip to the Mem Cup would have been not to mention the confidence and invaluable 'experience' it would have given going into next season.

I saw 2 pretty nice snipes on 2 of the goals that gave up leads....don't know if even Broooch has those

You can not deny that Bowen let in 4 weak goals tonight. And a few Saturday night. has Simpson been stellar? Nope, but he's made the saves needed to keep his team in the game. Look at the SOG. Horrible save % for Bowen. Under 800. Not good.

oh we're back on the save PCT argument?......I'm tired

This is a forum for discussion. But if any criticism is met with this much arguing I think going back to lurking before games for any info I missed is probably the best move.
yes it's a forum for discussion. I like discussion...what I don't like is a circle jerk of like opinions when a player is struggling. When it's the same user names every time....it gets beyond tiring

I need something to make this forum more enjoyable...anyone got any edibles??

So you don’t want any opinions you don’t like. Let me know if you got any more Italian jokes and maybe I’ll come back.

I've been part of an Italian family for over 40 years....you guys can take ribbing....don't go soft on me.

and nobody said anything about opinions I don't like....but to collectively piss on a burning carcass...it gets to be a bit much. Trust me...I was a pisser at one time...one of the worst.

I guess it's like being an ex-smoker around smokers. Which I also am

It 'ain't over 'till the fat lady sings ! The Knights aren't exactly out of it, by any means. See how the next 4 games go, and relax, and enjoy the ride.:baghead:

Nobody is pissing on a burning carcass. And no one is making it personal. Bowen has SUCKED the last two games. Point blank. No arguing that. He was stellar in games 5-6 against Sarnia and awesome Game 1 against the Petes. Why is it so hard to accept honest criticism of the kid? He hasn't played well the last two games. Nothing personal, just honest observation. He's 18 years old. Technically an adult. I have an 18 year old and if she sucks at her job, she gets called out. That's life. Don't want to get criticised? Play better . Period.

Save % is a huge factor when it's that low. Under 800 will not win you any games.

No...you only like discussion if it's in agreement with your opinion. Especially when it comes to Bowen. I hope he makes us eat our words. But I'm not holding my breath.

I have just come to the conclusion if we lose in the Finals, we weren’t equipped and that’s okay. It is what it is…

As much as PP31 and myself agree to disagree, Brochu got injured and sometimes that happens and Bowen may not be good enough to carry us to a Championship, but that’s not all his fault either.

I don’t suspect Bowen will help us win a Championship but it’s not like he was even envisioning starting in the Finals. Not really his fault he’s not as good as Brochu either.

Who are you ? C'mon tell us your name we'd Like to make fun of you too on social media !!!
How am I making fun of Bowen? And better yet, you can meet me in person :)

and...cue the buzzards feeding on the carcass....oh they're already here?....my bad...carry on

I can't wait to count the lips on Bowen's ass when we win this
If the Knights pull it out it will be because Bowen played decent the way we’ve seen. He won’t steal the series.

It's quite possible for these two statements to both be true:
1)Bowen did not play well last night and it proved costly.
2)Bowen is a good goalie with a bright future.
That's how I view it, and posters are free to express their own opinion. Those two statements are not logically inconsistent.
It's very unfortunate that a real name out of twenty is being posted by hidden posters with fake names, thinking their opinions will help fix a team problem

How bout this O’Rielly kid? He’s a great skater who skates with his head up at a young age, he looks like he’s got what it takes for this level. Exciting to see what he brings next year.

Do you really think anything said here will help fix the team?
