1 more step for both teams to something I never thought I'd see.

London - Sarnia conference finals.

They didn't jump on the Rangers like I had hoped to, but this 5-0 win showed so much more characteres and huge team effort. They all played really well, two players noticeably stood out in this game, one was the defensive play of Ethan MacKinnon, possibly his very best game as a Knight yet, and Brett Brochu was on his game even when there were not many shots on him at times he kept himself ready through out, he sure redeemed himself in this game. IMHO

I thought Pinelli could have got more than interference for the elbow to Barkey’s head. Martin stopping where he did made Leonard hit look worse. It was a bad hit granite but if he skates all the way to the puck and boards it is 2 minutes instead of 5 and little to no chance of injury.

Martin set Leonard up...he took a quick look as he was heading towards the boards.

Team win...but Brochu was our leader. Good on Hunter to keep Federkow in lineup he deserved it.
There was no question of if Federkow was in the lineup or not last night, Edward missed the game injured. So no question as to what the lineup would be with McCue back in.

I do agree though, Federkow has been playing well and taking advantage of his opportunities. 9 points in 90 career OHL games before the playoffs and already has 4 points in 5 games this postseason, after being a healthy scratch to start. Gotta love those stories of guys stepping up when it matters!

Same with Humphrey, we are seeing why it pays to acquire playoff experience.

Leonard hit was a dangerous check from behind. Martin knew it was coming and embellished it well. Oh well.. We will see what the office of unpredictability thinks of it and move on.
If they deem it suspension worthy I guess we see Federkow ( the swiss army knife ) slot in as 6th D I guess the line up question becomes do we see some added fire power bringing in O'Rielly or do they go with Paris whose been with the OHL club the whole year?

I wonder what the Status of Edward is?
Could he maybe be ready and just slot into Leonard's spot, should he be suspended?
