We go into playoffs with last 2 games playing much better. Even though Kitchener was not with full team allowing only 1 goal and very few great scoring chances is the way we need to play in playoffs. The home game we had against Ottawa (1-0 in shootout) is the type of hockey we need to play. Winterton, Barkey and Cowan line will be the key to enough offence to get us through long series. Other positives is our deep defense...if we have injury we have decent guys to step in ( Leonard). The play of Julien gaining confidence on our 4th line becomes important in long series. Knights over OS in 5. Not mailing in these last 2 games was huge...making Windsor play Kitchener helps.

We have seen many teams through the years having trouble with special teams through out regular seasons and everything working just fine come playoffs. I think the Knights may be such a team, regular season mind set without super stars is trying to make what you've practice for work for you. In playoffs hockey that mind set usuallly change a whole lot, it become survival & deaspiration hockey, the word now becomes no matter how it's done that puck must go in. I think the Knights is that kind of team, just by sure determinations and by putting their minds together how many times this year we've seen them coming back from big deficits. Last year we had some top players taking backseat rides in that playoffs series against Kitchener, lets hope playoffs returnees this year remembers. IMHO

Going into this season's playoffs, we have a team who's success is highly dependent on defensive play and coverage. This team has no game breaking superstars. None of our players came close to top 10 scoring statistics, so offense isn't our strength. Team speed is !

That being said, these guys have demonstrated that they are capable of shutting down some very formidable offensive-oriented teams. It's a matter of consistent execution, and discipline. Force opponents to the outside perimeter, take away scoring chances from the slot area, and forecheck with speed to force turnovers in the offensive zone. If they do that, anything is possible.

It's been said that defense wins playoff hockey. The Knights success will come not from outscoring the opponents, but rather by how well they contain them, and shut them down.

Wonder which Owen Sound goalie we will see, the rookie Carter George had some really good numbers over his 10 starts. But it looks like St. Mary's, his Jr. B team, is still active in their playoffs, so I don't imagine we will see him.

Chenard & Votary have very similar numbers on the season, but I remember each of them have great games against London at some point. Will be interesting to see!

Yes, George (no relation to Isaiah) is with St. Mary's, Jr. B playoffs. Numbers not good (Votary, Chenard).

Congratulations to the boys for finishing second as they enter the playoffs. After a rocky start they regrouped and played a complete game. To overcome the loss of Abby and keep plugging away speaks volumes for the organization and the players. I will cheer them each and every game and hopefully they go on a long run. They need to tighten up a touch defensively and play aggressively on forecheck and the BB’s need their A game and we will be fine. This is the basic formula for playoff success. Next year also looks bright for the team.

You said well sir. They could have just folded after Abby, but they picked themselves up and dedicated the season to him. Top notch group of kids.

Having work with teens in a group dynamic it is admirable. Leadership, support, compassion, empathy are so important in these type situations. Speaks well of the entire staff and players.

Couple questions here;

I was wondering how many London Knights doubters we have on this site, how many of us still feel the same way as we did at the start of the season and still believe London isn't going anywhere in the after season showdown ?

Will this team reach conference final, can they fool us again as they did since very early in the season and win the Conference Final as well, what do you all think ?

I think they will !

Attack fan here thanks for the breakdown I'm hoping for a tight hard fought series. Call me Captain Obvious but I believe if the Attack are healthy and everybody does there job effectively we will see a very entertaining series.
