Still think LK looks to add a vet F, either pre camp or very shortly into the season.

Getting close to training camp. One month or less. Looks to be interesting year with the emergence of Dickenson and seeing what O’Reilly and Nichol cand do on scoresheet in OHL. Interesting to see how Bowen comes in after summer. I think he wore down in playoffs last year and possibly had the bug that was going around. That is why Willmore was brought in. Still feel cheated we didn’t get to see Brouchu finish his career in finals and possibly Memorial Cup.

While that sounds nice...Nothing with actually be official until he is sent back. I fully expect him to start with the Barracuda unless he is disappointing in camp.
Actually, I expect the Filip Mesar treatment. He will be sent right down to the OHL after camp and preseason. Halttunen starting in the AHL would be the case for next year.

Fills a huge hole. Now they have that big goal scorer.
Shaping up to be another very good season with that loaded defense and the offense getting a big boost here.

He really struggled in a lesser men’s league than the AHL last year. So I think they probably see him in London. But of course not official.

This is nice :) . Just a quick question. Since he had a contract in finland, would he have to pay to buyout that contract?

You can't really take his LIIGA stats to heart. For starters LIIGA is an extremely defensive league filled with men, and their top teams would beat AHL teams at worst give them all a run for there money. 17 year olds play on the 4th line and play about 5 minutes a night. Unless you physically watched him play it is unfair to base his LIIGA stats to potential struggles.

Joakim Kemell - 2023 Stats
Liiga 43 Games 12 Goals 3 Apples - 15 Point
AHL 14 Games 6 Goals 7 Apples - 13 Points

So he is a PPG player in the AHL as an 18 year old, but was a third liner in LIIGA so comparisons are not fair.

Kemell also put up 23 pts in 39 games the year before so while he had a slump, he previously showed he could handle playing with grown men. Halttunen doesn't have that yet.

Yes I agree, my point was to show that the AHL should not be put on such a pedestal. Holden Caulfied was saying that LIIGA was a lesser mans league than the AHL which could not be further from the truth.

Comparing Apples and Oranges is just not fair.
