Clearly he is gifted but he is a Dman, so pivoting and skating backward need to improve because if he doesn’t he will be the next Beaulieu… Yes he was injured and suspended you can’t work on some stuff but he could still work on skating.
He can only work on skating when he’s allowed too , and during his recovery he might not have been allowed in ice . Because falling might of damaged shoulder

That isn't a massive problem? Guys with less glaring problems than Mailloux have 200+ OHL games before they make the jump to pro and they still can't pull it off. He was a mid 2nd round talent playing in 3rd tier Swedish junior when he was drafted, and played about 20 games since. His trajectory is blown to pieces, I don't even know how some can consider him an NHL level prospect at this point.
I think this is the worst take on any prospect I’ve ever seen on hfboards and there’s been plenty of bad ones.

I don't care about lists, I'm talking about talent.

Not sure if those lists took into account his crime, but many teams had him on their no draft list, so impossible to know where he would have been on their lists otherwise.
Of course…

Name which teams had him on a no draft list and provide evidence.......enough of this spewing confirmation bias as though it is factual. I am so tired of people just puking out hot trash in place of the truth.

Considering it was backed up by several media outlets. It's hard not to consider it factual. Even though a proper list of teams was never provided.

I mean, there was an article by Pronman in the Athletic literally called "Several NHL teams drop Logan Mailloux from draft list after conviction in Sweden".

It's been reported in multiple places that teams had him on their no draft list...

This is not evidence of anything other than a media source making unsubstantiated claims. If there were 9 teams then they would be identified as it would be known exactly who they were. At best this is just anecdotal evidence being magnified into a broader narrative. Nobody from the Athletic is remotely in touch with the inner circles of NHL teams and at best they would only be sharing the opinions of scouts or employess of the team who would have no idea what the organization's official stance would be.

I am sure that some teams likely had him as a ND due to potential PR complications but my point is that not one single team is on record before the draft as saying that they would honor his request to not be drafted.

We need to stop treating erronious media reports and HF Board chatter as empirical evidence.

IMO every single team would've drafted him once down to the 2nd, 3rd rounds.. Don't care what anyone says lol

Well, the ‘some’ include the management of the Montreal Canadiens who signed Mailloux to an entry level contract. Which hockey team do you manage?

This seems like the most speculative post in here.

Can we PLEASE move on lol

I'll take the bashing his defense talk over THAT other shit at this point lol
I suspect that will never happen and if Mailloux has a spectacular, long career some will still carp on his teenaged malfeasance.
