Good to know he's expected to be back early in the season. Hoping he stays healthy all year.

Just hope he’s not rushed back before he’s 100%. He needs to stay healthy and play injury free.

Part of me wonders if with a good healthy start to his OHL season if he could get an invite for the U20 tourney but with his past and what is going on right now with Hockey Canada I don't think they would invite him simply because of the optics.

Thinking the same thing sadly

I’ve been through some seriously nasty training in the military. Everyone fails at some point, but there is a purpose for it. The graduated failure/success routine builds mental fitness. This kid? Is not a quitter. Good/bad right/wrong? He’s still standing.
Great post.

Only thing missing is a sentence that starts with “This one time, me and my army buddies …”

Include “barracks”, “off-post”, “hookah bars” and “curfew” to evoke a poignant life lesson. :sarcasm:

This one time? Me and my Navy buddies had to go into 30 foot seas, with complimentary wind speed, to save a family that decided to go sailing in it. Let’s not forget that it was October!

Thank god that EPL and NFL training camps are here, I have other sports content to consume than the black hole that is summer hockey news, speculation, bickering…

Onto Mailloux, hope he has a big year in London. He has all the tools but needs more game experience. I think if he gets a full season in (and playoffs) that he will be in good position to sign his ELC next spring and compete for a spot in Laval next September. I think he has legit top 4 RHD potential long term

I love watching SEAL training videos on YouTube…..constantly encouraging you to quit on your brothers and ring that bell….I always wished to have that opportunity, always thought i had the mental toughness to go through that grind!!

Yeah, cuz they knew he was going to get injured!

Yeah, cuz that's EXACTLY what I meant...You don't pick the guy 'cause he asked not to be picked. You actually pick OTHER guys who were scheduled to go before him anyway no matter the story imagine with it. And then, maybe, you don't have to deal with injuries if it happens. As if the point was about injury....

Injury was the final slap to the pick that should have never been. Still..he has time to turn it around....but NOBODY would have cared if Zellwegger would have been our pick...

Timmins was criticized for years that he's always going the safe route with his picks.

They swung for the fences with this Mailloux pick and here we are.

I rather have Hutson than Zellwegger.

Selecting Zellwegger in 2021 probably means no Hutson this year.

Now we have Mailloux and Hutson.

If this reflects Timmins’ logic and critical thinking skills then I am not surprised.

Unfortunately Mallioux was not a “home run” attempt pick, it was a bad pick for hockey reasons as much as non-hockey reasons.
