Knowing Bettman ways of thinking and his hate for Canadian based teams (besides TO), I would not be surprised if he gives Mailloux a long suspension before allowing him to play at NHL level.

You are villainizing Bettman for reasons that you have invented in your own mind. His "hate for Canadian based teams"....really???? He has a job to do and he has directives from the league including the owners from all 7 Canadian teams and he has been nothing short of great in his role. The owners/players are all chasing dollars and you might want to consider that the Canadian owners on the Board of Governors don't want new Canadian teams who will encroach on their revenues both at the gate and from local broadcasting rights.

will see at camp but would rather he plays a year in Laval Mailloux has good potentiel but he also missed like 2 years of hockey ( suspension/injury ) would be good for him to play big minutes plus PP with the Rocket

The fact that this thing is going that far is already a joke.

Let the man play and f*** off.

Let's also remember that it was St-Hubert who led the charge against Molson when this whole thing blew up. St-Hubert are gutless cowards, using a young kid to do some virtue signaling. I will remember their cowardice and betrayal.

He will.. I suspect they take as much time as possible with him just for the optics alone.

Not saying that if he comes into camp as the next Cale Makar they will still send him down, but where he realistically needs some time anyway I think most of the year in Laval will be his path next year.

Bettman just said recently that he was insulted b the way he was portrayed in a popular Quebec film "Bon cop, bad cop", where he was called Buttman and emprisoned in a trunk of car.... That film is a good 15-20 years old by now and he sill remember and pissed off.

Since the Mailloux "incident', we have heard about way worse behaviours by Junior players towards women and their own teamates....

I am looking forward to see Bettman's actions when we FINALLY gonna know who was involved in the 2018's events imvolving Team Canada Junior players. I hope the guys (if it is the case) who are playing at NHL level since few seasons and had already made big $$$, will be suspended forever.

That is not in any sense a rational connection to support the claim that he hates Canada or Canadians lol.

Do you remember the Bolts-Habs Finals ? Bettman DID NOT thank or congratulate the Habs at all during his SC presentation. He was also pissed off by Mailloux' pick. And put Molson back to his place after the Patches-Chara incident. And I am sure he is sick and tired to have to answer questions from Quebec medias anytime their is a slight possibility that an American team fails and might be moved elsewhere (but Quebec, of course !!!!)

Is Logan Mailloux the 2nd best goal scoring defenseman this year after Zellweger any league included( NHL/AHL/CHL/SHL/KHL/LIGA)?

There is an important distinction to be made between "best" and "most"......most does not equal best.

Sorry, I know what you likely meant but just trying to nip the hyperbolic express in the bud before it gains momentum lol.

You should watch the clip of how he said it. It was humoristic and honestly a nice and fun interaction. He wasn't angry about it at all.

He was asked how he liked his portrayal in a recent movie, said it was fine and that he prefered this one to being called buttman and being tossed in the trunk of the car.

It's a pretty acceptable answer that does not scream hatred to me.

But it's Bettman and people are looking for additional reasons to hate him.

The same reason the mob mindlessly, if not religiously, boo him on cue at the draft. It’s the in thing to do. People just got to hate.

Just as well if we give him more time. I’d like to see the practice of rushing prospects to the NHL end. In fact, I hope they return Slaf to the minors. I think a year in the AHL would help him too.

My biggest fear with the #5 overall pick. I hope they learned from last year and let the kid develop in peace. TT has always been good at drafting D and goalie. Drafting offensive forward has been his biggest weakness. He would have success in Columbus, if he mainly draft Defenseman.

Can't wait to see Mailloux at NHL level, this guy is such fun to watch. Him and Hutson are going to be both stud at offensive zone. With his shot, this guy will score 15 goals and more per season, no doubt about that.

Logan has basically played a little bit more than one OHL season so he needs alot of reps. I expect he plays in Laval for 2 seasons minimum. Exciting prospect.

I’m really hoping he works on that defensive game and becomes a Hague type player for us. His size and physical tools will be valuable regardless of how much of the offence translates.
