There's been a couple of times that Lupul's ran into problems on twitter. Maybe he should just be like Kessel and tweet once a year. haha

In a way, I really hope that players start to pull what Radulov has done to owners. Make them think that they want to play in the NHL and go to the KHL. Then when its convenient for him, go back to the NHL. Show them that they do have other options and will exercise the right to do so.

I literally just posted an overview of his interview that I came across in the National Post online, lol. I laughed at the manhole story because if that were my experience, I don't think my eyes would ever leave the ground when I was walking around in Russia. I don't want to fall in a manhole

Actually, in Russia, you can trust even a closed man hole cover. My wife still wouldn't step oin one here.

We'll see about the NHL complaint though. In the mean time with the decertification talk, nations can vote a new leader in 24 hours but the PA needs 5 days to get 700ish people to vote via the Internet. Stall stall stall.

Seems silly to take 5 days, but I don't know the rules in their constitution.

Any bets if they gave them 24 hours the complaint was they didn't give all the players a chance to vote.

It is just spin depending on whether you support individuals or corporations.

I live in Canada and watch where I walk, and don't like walking over holes covered or not.

I love sour cream and put that %$@# on everything.

 Really, MLSE? Locking the players out of Real Sports too?

This is going too far, who would give these moron's their hard earned money after this? Players can't enter team owned pub, but the pub will gladly sell player jersey's for $300.00 a pop. MLSE along with all the other owners are idiots, they're the reason salaries are where they are, they continually overpay for players, why would a player play for less if the moron's running the teams are willing to overpay? I doubt I'd go to a Leaf game if I was given the tickets going forward.

The good chances of falling in one is probably traumatizing, I don't blame her one bit for not trusting any manhole in sight.

I get that as well since you can't eliminate the possibility so long as the manhole is there. Though I would think generally speaking, the precautions used here would make people less sensitive about it. For me, that's the case at least and considering how many people actually walk on them here and the kind of precautions that are set up for open manholes, I'd be surprised to find out that a large percentage of North Americans actually avoid having to walk on one for fear of falling in. I won't lie, the thought has crossed my mind on occasions, but it's never stopped me from actually doing it.

I love sour cream as well but only with certain things and I think I would get tired of it if it came with every single meal. Sour cream is pretty much anything Mexican (nachos, tacos) and I love it with perogies.

Relax, read what others posted regarding his comment. Also ive bought a jersey there and it didnt even come up to $200:sarcasm:

I think the poster means for guy like Kulemin who comes to North America to play.

There's a huge difference, living in Toronto with a huge, diverse community, have a superstar status, 1st class everything, and Yekatirinburg which is basically a Winnipeg, but in the middle of Ural.

the blue jays just signed a 38 year old picture for 25 mil over 2 years.
most people on here say that the hockey players are greedy.
the base fans are all happy with the signing.

I'd imagine a team like the Leafs making more of an effort to ensure a player is well taken care of in his time of transition. In terms of providing translators when needed, assistance getting settled in, providing transportion etc..

@RealBillWatters: Glad to hear that the Disclaimer vote willpass. No kidding! Is a 15 lb robin fat?Fehrtown has already had the vote;results are in,not public.

Leafs Best Shot At A Cup: Decertification!

Finally, a positive (in my humble opinion) out of the NHL labor dispute for us, the tortured Maple Leaf fan. According to some article I read over on Yahoo, there exists a possibility that the NHLPA could decertify. The NHL papers that were filed in court asked for all player contracts to be declared null and void should that happen. I`m sure this is a simpleton explanation, but what it all means is that Toronto might actually have a shot at building a winning franchise. If in fact we are a team that so many NHL player grew up loving, how could we not clean up by finally scooping all that talent up off the free agent list in the greatest July in hockey history? Let`s face is, this would in fact be our best shot at winning a cup in the near future. Post your home grown dream team boys, it could possibly happen!

I'm sorry but we didn't win a cup in the previous 50 years that we could out spend the opposition - what makes you think its gonna work this time around?

Still its quite sad that this franchise can't even compete when the playing field is levelled. Perhaps we should lobby for a new rule that visiting teams may only dress 4 defensemen when playing The Maple Leafs at home?

Buy a championship seems exciting to some, not to mention the closing of many franchises and jobs. Good thing it wont come down to that, and more importantly the Leafs have Kadri who will help the cause.
