The best is yet to come folks. We just don't know when it will be but it is coming.
Hope you aren't being sarcastic.

This is pathetic. No sense of accountability. Just a wishing well at this point.
So after a nice long summer the boys will comeback with “killer instinct” next season. I don’t know about you folks but I’m now convinced and will be pumped to watch.
Hope you aren't being sarcastic.
They'll never play a more meaningless season. They could go 82-0 never allowing a goal and it won't matter.
I'd even stretch that to playoffs and I can't imagine the pressure this team will face in any opportunity to clinch
So marner is coming back. f*** off
I don't see how it can get worseThe best is yet to come folks. We just don't know when it will be but it is coming.
I'm not saying fire everyone, but there's no way you can come out with such a sad sack sense of "oh well shucks better luck next time". No accountability, no passion, no desire. Why should the fans even care.Yikes - Dubas presser. Everything is rosy.
It’s dangerous territory to be in because it’s a no win situation. Basically San Jose 2007-2015.
Not sure if it's a positive or a negative that it's a first round thing compared to SJ being a little later and even similar to WSH with the second roundIt’s dangerous territory to be in because it’s a no win situation. Basically San Jose 2007-2015.
Listen, I won't say to come out ala Brian Burke and spill your plan to the world, that's going to definitely not help.
But having to externally find a killer instinct when we're paying 40M for 4 forwards near league minimum wage is bad. You can't hope they'll find it. Saying it out loud makes your whole plan seem foolish.
Dubas could trade our 2022 first for Nathan Horton.I don't see how it can get worse
You've made good posts all season, but this might be one of your best.Yeah I hear ya on the first point.
Definitely doesn’t work from a group dynamic. Do you mean to tell us you’re going to find a couple of guys on league minimum deals who will lead a guy making 11x their salary into battle and hold them accountable and grab them by the scruff of the neck and be their super friend? It’s like having a summer intern come in to hold the CEO to account.
Why is Simmons so mad?

I remember when Bergevin said "the answer is in the room" when Montreal was struggling a little while back and it sounded completely idiotic at the time. Lots of jokes about it.
Now Toronto is looking for it's killer instinct. Oof. Hopefully they check under the couch cushions at Marner's place.

I was thinking more about the first being the hurdle or if it's all playoffs.I think the example might be the Ottawa Senators of the 2000s. Looked like a team of the future, had to make that big Heatley for Hossa deal and still ran out of time and cap space with only one finals appearance when they pieced it all together. Spezza was on that team. He can speak to how brief your shot can be. There are other great teams out there. Other great young teams out there. You don’t have forever. Players and management need to realize this.
