Why do you guys think Matthews or any other player in the NHL for that matter would ever come out and say "X teammate needs to be traded." Matthews and Marner deserve all the shit they been taking for there on ice performance, but to give Matthews shit for sticking my marners side is called being a good teammate. No one is ever going to look at someone on there team and say "yes player X needs to go".
But to kind of mock the media for being critical?

How about something like "Me and Mitch both are not happy with our play this series." But to rationalize an 11 million dollar player who's useless in the playoffs by saying how "nice" and "friendly" he is? I'm sick of all of them. Completely sick of them.

no one is saying Matthews should have said "Hell yah Mitch should be traded." but as i've said. you can answer that question with a whole hell more nuance than he did. Acknowledge where that question is coming from, think about how you/he played and answer not like a jackass but like a mature person.

f*** that good team mate mentality. Need a leader like Jordan to harass you, make you look like dog shit, and make you compete harder than you can. But Jordan himself was the best in business when it came to competing, he never gave up. Do we even have anyone that is competing that hard? Hell No.

Shanahan wants to keep the big 4 here! Personally, I'm loving hearing some rational thoughts after reading these boards too much the last couple of days!
