Last 2 games Lav has used Gus with Fox on offensive zone faceoffs trying to create offense. But in OT, can't be that aggressive so Lindgren was out there.

I think the real issue is that he sucks and a lot of us here would prefer for him to just get suspended and understand that defending him is counterproductive to the ultimate objective here.
He is an unambiguously dirty player. He would not have been considered a dirty player at all in the 90s. He’s a different kind of dirty than Marchand and Tom Wilson but he’s dirty nonetheless.
I wish he was as good as those other guys and his salary.

Can't offend the sensitivities of the almighty Devils, Islanders, and Habs fans while they openly troll and express their stupidity for all to see. Mains are and have been a cesspool of idiocy for a long time here. One of the biggest reasons I post increasingly sparingly, despite being here like 15 years.

This is a really bad take imo. The word suspension is thrown around way too liberally. There should be an incredibly high bar to get suspended. A simple whack at the end of the game should be embraced. It makes the series and game more entertaining. And thats simply all sports purpose is, entertainment.

I'd absolutely LOVE to see this team play one of their best games, if not their best, in game 4.

The thing is something we need to remember is that just because we got outplayed last game it doesn't mean it'll happen next game. I'd argue that in some ways the Rangers played their best goal of the series in game 4 last game and their worst in game 5. The teams played a super defensive two games and then a completely different game yesterday.
I've said for years - Nice teams don't win the cup.

I haven't paid attention to matchups, so I can only give a gross over-simplification. But when I learned fundamentals, the rule of thumb was based on gaps. If I went in on the wing and a d-man had a large gap, cut to the middle. Tight gap, try to go wide along the boards.
So maybe it's something to do with Florida RD's gaps.
I know Ekblad might have a looser gap, but cutting to the middle on him I believe runs you into Forsling, who is solid and smart, and would well know to cover Ekblad's wider gaps. Maybe the other RDs, Kulikov and Montour, are tighter to the blue line?
Again, I have not focused on this and I'm generalizing, but maybe that type of thing is something to look at.
If I were a vengeful person, I would be reporting it... And then keeping an eye on their posts after it's "resolved" and then reporting them posting about actions against them (which is also against the rules)

Like most playoff games, the next game is always the biggest
I think Game 4 is huge for the Panthers, obviously they don’t want to go down 3-1 in this series going back to the Garden.
With the said, for the Rangers - I think the entire team and staff knows they have to be better and have a more even 60 min effort.
As Godlike as Igor had been (I’d never entertain the idea of taking him out) I almost feel as if the Rangers would benefit in having Quick in net and playing that quintessential back up on the road game, where you see a lot of solid team defense and grimy energy needed to combat what will be a tough game to win.
In the end, they need to test Bob even more. He hasn’t been under siege for any sustained time, they haven’t forced him to make many 2nd and 3rd saves and I’m sure as soon as they do he’ll be flailing all about to try and draw GI penalties.
Hes on the point of being rattled. He can’t be happy with letting up 5 goals when your offense has 478 shot attempts per 60.
Get to him early and really just focus on simple puck support (for the 5th time) and taking the body to get the Panthers out of their lanes.
There was a ton of room in the first half or so of game 3 for Florida. I didn’t think they were that tight at all and if the Rangers were a little sharper they could have been up big.
And get a PPG. Get Bread going there. He’s been teamed up on by Florida. Help him break through.

I would highly recommend anyone/everyone report when they are trolling.
However, just note, that it's very easy to get tagged in that (I've personally gotten less-than-reciprocal / hypocritical warnings or thread bans even when not engaged heavily). I've seen such a long leash given to Devils fans in OUR threads when Rangers fans are very easily thread-banned on theirs. No clue if this is just the whiney nature of their fanbase or what.

I don't want to get into it too much, but our current mods are really going to bat for us behind the scenes and very, very annoying former mods (me) are also engaging to effect noticeable change on this.
