Well considering the title of the article is the all disappointment team the fact that there are 5 goaltenders than him right now and somehow makes it on the list is a complete joke. Also not once did I say He's not bad.

He's 70th out of 75, and had high expectations, I think the article is appropriate.

Hell he had a better season with one of the worst teams of all time.

However, I think he can turn it around, along with some of the other tenders on that list I posted.

The message is do better.
I’m sure He will try.
Problem is, what if he can’t do better? What if he is who he has been?

way too early for that, but it’s not inconceivable that he doesn’t reach the effectiveness that they hoped for.

Then he’s an expensive backup who will be good in that role. The good news is that Swayman is on an ELC so the total goalie cost is fine. It is irrelevant who is the starter so long as the team is getting good goaltending. If Ullmark ends up the backup and doesn’t like it, he can be moved. He has an NMC but you’d expect he’d waive it for a starting job. He’s a good goalie and is still young.

true but I’m not worrying after five starts or whatever it is

Exactly. Way to early for that. Also way too early to know if sending a message makes any difference. Time will tell.

I like him on Buffalo, viewed the signing as positive. Hope he has lots of success here.

I love HF, I truly do and have many life long friends because Of it, but sometimes each game is treated like it’s the NFL instead of an 82 game season. They just came off a 3-1 week and starting to get contributions from everyone.

that’s a fact. Every sport, every city I think has similar dynamics including fans with extreme highs and lows, overly optimistic shifting to overly pessimistic. I’m Rabid sports cities just so much more prevalent.

I want to see him a few more times before writing him off???? They called him Skidmark on 98.5 again today!!!!

Judging a new goalie coming off injury on 6 games over the course of more then a month, feels like a fools errand. The guy has played about every 5 days and again has come off injury and has played really good teams on nights when the Bruins played terrible D including against the Oilers and Toronto. But Florida twice and that’s 4 tough games out of the 6. Anyhow, I’ll check back in later.

4 straight games of 2 goals or less

Pretty good start to the season for a guy coming off major off-season knee surgery

6/10 starts with 2 goals or less

Both he and Swayman would benefit from the Bruins scoring a bit more. Yeah, there are a few times you want them to make a save and steal one, but the team has to consistently put up more goals in front of them. Linus started a bit shaky, but he's settled, and he's a good goalie. He's no Tuuka, but few are.

The guy seems to thrive in difficult circumstances, he plays better when the odds are against him, guess it makes sense coming from Buffalo lol.

7-4-0 “104 Point Pace”
2 Goals or less in 7 out of 11 starts
.921 SV %

Not bad for the worst contract of the Don Sweeney era

Great
stretch from Ullmark.

I don't know if it's coincidence but he's played a lot better in games where we've been outshot. That's what he was used to in Buffalo. It will be interesting to see if he's just as sharp when the B's only allow 19 shots.

It's also what Swayman was use to in Maine.

woah, the great DC! hope all is well, fella.

ullmark has been dialed in lately. not very clean early vs calgary but got better as the night wore on.
@PlayMakers point about a lot of shots is certainly interesting. i'd also say tuukka's presence had
something to do with the recent uptick in goal overall. nobody wants to ride buses or play for the
sabres if they don't have to.
