It's sooooooooooooo much cleaner.

I know a few left because of the Penn State thing. They've told me in person they won't be back. A couple have mentioned the team being bad just makes it not worth their time - I can get behind that. If I was sane and in a stable place, I likely wouldn't be using this as a crutch to maintain some semblance of sanity. Some people drink. Some paint. Some even write. And some poke around on hockey boards while games play in the background while looking for work in a field that doesn't pay in a place that doesn't want them.

If you think about it the big difference in perception between Berube and Ruff is that Berube wasn't missing a bunch of his starters for game 7 of the SCF in Boston.

There was a cross-section of Devil fandom who wanted Brunette to replace Ruff and think his leaving to go to Nashville was a bad thing. I think it starts there. I've seen it here on HF even in the hiring thread on the main board. It's weird since the numbers before and after him are also good.

Jeff loses out on a lot of money if we buy him out IIRC, we could tell him listen we're either buying you out or you can accept a trade. Which obviously we'd have to pay to get out from under it but I think it may be worth it.
