need to double down on the rebuild. Still need a lot of help in the forward department with our prospects.

I believe that we are a couple of players away. This an unexpected pleasure of a season. As much as I would have loved to have won a cup, this wasn’t our year. It will come and sooner then later.

The fact the Rangers had chances to win this series but shot themselves in the foot annoys me more than if Tampa had just simply steamrolled them from the start. Should've had a 3-0 series lead, and could've won Game 5 if Strome wasn't Strome. Not going to sugarcoat it, definitely leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Good series guys and congrats on your great breakthrough season this year. You guys showed how mentally resilient you are being in your first playoffs with this young core and coming back from 3-1 down against the seasoned vets of Crosby and Malkin in Pittsburgh, as well as your comeback against the Canes. With this experience you'll be an even tougher team to beat in the playoffs next year.

Mental lapses and sucking 5 on 5 is a theme that happened all season and our coach had zero solutions to the problem. Even worse were his decisions to ice the 4th line and 3rd pair after a goal most of the playoffs. His job to provide subtle reminders to keep them focused.

It's one thing to lose on the ice due to the other team being better or better execution. It's another when we have to beat ourselves and the opponent to win.
5v5 I'm convinced can be brought more in line with some personal choices, namely Strome in the top 6. Laf playing more in the top 6 would help too.

The letdowns after a goal are absolutely a coaching thing.

Leave.

At least sprinkle in a 4-3 loss. Generating no offense was terrible to watch.

Imagine if Igor was out for us in the playoffs. The excuses would be endless.
Tampa were missing their no1 center...
Not sure the Anderson to Raanta drop off was that much. But the Pittsburgh and Tampa situations would have ended our seasons.
