Very proud of this team. The kids are ready to handle the load. Let them have their head next season. Can only shelter so much until it becomes a detriment. This team was 2 games away from the finals. Damn f***ing proud of all them.

Drury will need someone to check his pulse in the off season. He will have to make some stone faced decisions.

Love you all crazy bastards!

There was a lot to like out of the young players and Zibanejad this postseason.

Scratching Kakko tonight and playing a one legged Strome was ridiculously stupid. Drury should absolutely roast Gallant for that idiocy.

One important lesson I hope this group learns is that when you have a chance to beat a team, you step on their necks. These long series used to kill the last group, and ultimately ended this run.

Speaking of Drury, he has a lot of tough decisions this offseason. 2C is a top priority, what to do with Kakko, and managing the cap.

It's hard not to worry about the future. Yes we're young but we had a lot of good fortune to get this deep. Better teams than us have struggled to win even a round. We could be a far better team the next few years and if we get some bad luck and/or injuries, we could never get this deep again.

I know it's all positive because this run was unexpected and we're young and all but man, it's really hard to look at this as anything other than a massive choke job and serious blown opportunity. In the NHL there's so much variance and randomness that when you get this deep so much had to go right that it's really hard to see it happening again. I know that's my recency bias talking but still.

That's why this series hurts so bad.

Pitt literally had a third string goalie in who wasn't even in the NHL this year and was out of the league in years prior. He single handedly blew games for them. You can be delusional all you want and act like we "proved" we can beat them, sure, we did. But if we get the same matchups next year, they're very likely to have actual goalies in there for the entire series.
The kid line also wasn’t a thing in that series. Everyone will be a year older which is good for us and bad for them. That series was the first playoff series for most of our team and it showed but we are a different team now.

I'm honestly starting to hate this sport. Teams that win play a brand of hockey that is absolutely appalling to watch.
It's because of the officiating.

They don't wanna "decide the games" so they decide the games by not having rules.

The Rangers need to get better at it. The only ones who really tried to cheat are Laf, Igor with his dives, and Trouba, although Trouba sucked at everything but hurting people.

Rugged realism!

Rangers beat those teams next year too.

Plenty for us to bitch and moan and Monday morning quarterback, but we’re not in the room and there’s simply no point. Good season, better than anyone could have hoped or asked for. On to the next chapter. Behave yourselves… I’m too tired to moderate.

Get Marty Biron off my f***ing The only thimg bigger ths his mouth is his 5 hole.

Great season. Tough team, but just no gas left in the tank, and man Tampa is good. Impressed we got 2 wins on them. Should be another interesting offseason and we still have some interesting prospects coming.

I still think paying 1 guy as much as Panarin is paid will stop us from winning. Need to get guys on deals. It's just too high a percentage of the cap.

Mental lapses and sucking 5 on 5 is a theme that happened all season and our coach had zero solutions to the problem. Even worse were his decisions to ice the 4th line and 3rd pair after a goal most of the playoffs. His job to provide subtle reminders to keep them focused.

It's one thing to lose on the ice due to the other team being better or better execution. It's another when we have to beat ourselves and the opponent to win.

To everyone saying we’re going to be back the optimism is nice but we really don’t know that. It’s very hard to win playoff games and when you’re that close I feel you have to finish it off because these chances come around only so often. I wasn’t alive for 94. I’m sick of hearing next year.

Except game 3. They made themselves a factor there.

Proud of this team, they just ran out of gas.

They will need to learn to play with more urgency every single game. Letting the first two series get to 7 games drained the tank. Every game needs to be a must win mindset.

Alot of good things to unpack, but I liked Laffy's compete level and IMO KAM was one of the best defenseman in a series that had alot of really good defenseman.

Gallant doesn't deserve to lose his job, but he went out of his way to put his fingerprint all over this loss. Doing what he didnto Kakko tonight is very close to unforgiveable. He is the future of this club and Strome, Hunt or Rooney very much are not. Just really pissed off at this decision from him and if he pulls this crap next year, the leash needs to get short or cut loose all together.

If instead of Braun we had played a fast mobile skilled scoring Dman like Jones or Lundkvist we would look much better offensively, and we couldn't have looked worse defensively.
