TB definitely outplayed us.

Losing Strome midway through the game is inconvenient, but doubtful him being there would've made a substantial difference. Hoping he's OK though. As much as we hate on him, he does play a role.

Just a super sloppy 3rd period. Not much offensive zone time.

Agree that KK and Laf really need more ice-time. I assume that Chytil's was so much larger due to taking Strome's on the PP. Deems weird that GG either can't find a way to get them more ice-time, or refuses to do so

The refs were decent, the Rangers f***ed their chances and let Trouba destroy any hope of momentum.

Trouba’s inability to do anything right probably factoring more than anything in Gallant’s fear of playing the Kid Line. Which begs the question, why not break the Kid Line up and put them with vets?

Did anyone really think Tampa was going to go quietly in the night and let us sweep? This is the 2 times champs. They’re going to make us beat them with everything we got. I first thought the rangers were going to have to go to 7 games. I think they can win in 5.

Yeah right. It's going 7 and you know it. And that's IF we're lucky and don't lose in 6.

I think Rangers fans got to enjoy an outer body experience for a few days going up 2-0 in a series. Now we are back to reality, this is going to be a dog fight. Tampa are junkyard dogs that will keep straddling the line.

Kid line had the same grade A opportunities, just seemed like Kaako was fighting the puck a bit. Once Strome went down the lines were a mess. People underestimate Tampa's power play and we can't afford to give them multiple PPs in a row.

Sports leagues have an agenda to push a series to 7 games. It's good for business.
And how exactly do they do this?

Does the league want Colorado to sweep McDavid out of the playoffs?

Like I told the other poster, if you really believe this, that you would watch and care about these games defies logic.

When you give up 50 shots, the refs weren't an issue. Some can never admit that their team lost a game because the other team deserved it.

I've never heard a single fan say the refs played a role in their team winning. Seems odd.
The refs deserve criticism though. They make a soft call right after we go up 2-0 and that Pp gives tampa life and they score. Then beginning of the third they call that holding call on Trouba where his off hand isn’t even touching Hagel, not even close to a hold but of course Tampa ties it up.

Don’t think it really matters at that point.

Better question is why does he continue to trot Trouba on there during PP 2 when he’s been directly responsible for 2 of our SHG against.
I agree Trouba needs to be off the PP and not taking the timeout probably doesn't matter, but I would've called it. Calm everyone down and get something drawn up.
