Haven't lost 2 straight games since late December against Boston. Been basically 3 months since we've lost 2 in row, and it's against one of the best teams in the league.

Boston just dropped 2 in a row against the Wings and Blackhawks.

f***ing love this team lol.

DECEMBER. I had that one ready after the Stamkos goal for the meltdown that I assumed was coming. But was nice to not really need it!

Takeaways:
- Caught in the Schmiddle with You...such an awesome save on Paul. It was incredibly athletic and the goalie equivalent of a Michigan. It was in your face and took your breath away!
- Timo with a Duece. Normally we only lay a duece on PP2 but tonight, Timo had two huge goals.
- Shara Returns. He had a couple shots and he made some good d-zone exits. Also, the PK looked good. I think he should slot back in.
- Severson was on. He had some really nice pace.
- Mercy Me. Dawson's Creek is being remade about a good dog who needs ear scritches
- 3v3 and Faceoffs. Two CLEAR areas of domination. 3v3 means nothing for the playoffs but I'm good winning faceoffs.
- Hagel..What a find that guy has been
- Tatar Tot, Nico, Boqvest, Jack, Ham, Marino all had solid, bounce-back games.

If I can break kayfabe for a moment, I actually dug up some of his old posts recently and remembered that he is one of the only people that still think the Panthers play in Miami. They haven't played there since 1998. The arena is basically as west as you can go before hitting the everglades. It's probably an hour northwest of Miami or close to it, with traffic it's gotta be. In the middle of the night you might be able to get there in 30 minutes id there's no construction and entire miles of I-95 shut down.

The NJD just can't hang with the TBL. They've proved that much in these two games. Same thing will happen in Tampa. I firmly recommend @Bleedred take a night off from sobreity and hit the beer stands at that one. He's gonna need plenty of it. Definitely in Miami the night before. FLA smoked MTL tonight worse than the NJD have done to anybody at all this season. Must be nice to watch such a talented team, with a real head coach and a great goalie in Bob.

Vasi clearly let Timo score to tie it up late in regulation. If this were a playoff game TBL would have scored before 5 minutes in. If anything, the NJD survived longer than they would have in a real playoff game.

Don't expect too much more in FLA. The NJD treat these trips like a time for relaxation and fun in the sun, and not as business trips as they should be treated. Same thing with Zona and Vegas.

They used to play in Miami the first 5 years, but that arena (I was never there) was dated after 10 years and they built the Heat a new arena right near that one in Miami and the Panthers got one basically in the swamp.

It's not really convenient from Miami, it's not really all that convenient from Fort Lauderdale either.
