I don’t have a problem with the trade request, but just leaving the team is really weak. I can’t respect that.
Your understanding of the situations is lacking
To me that’s where he looks bad. If he is suppose to be a “character guy” then why wouldn’t you just ask for a trade and grind it out until something comes.I don’t have a problem with the trade request, but just leaving the team is really weak. I can’t respect that.
You’re an absolute savage and I love it. Not saying I agree with this stance, but I love it.Suspend him and let him rot.
I mean, really, let him go to Europe. And then qualify him once his ELC is up.

Lias is so similar to Jaime Lundmark. Both were top 10 picks, blonde, "surefire" future captain, similar size, both struggled in NHL and AHL.
I have to say though that Rangers are pretty terrible at developing players. Just look at AHL team, most teams in AHL have 2 assistant coaches, but Wolfpack has only one.

Kravstov utilized a clause he negotiated for a reason and went back to his home country, as allowed, while still a teenager.2 top 10 picks have looked to exit the Org in a very short period of time.
Is it really fair to just automatically label them entitled little whiners?
What is it that's going on behind the scenes, the elephant in the room?
Too be a fly on the wall..
And I’ll say it again, if this is the reaction of two top picks, there is a fundamental flaw in what the Rangers are looking for in players and they need to address it.
Because either they aren’t identifying it early enough, or their approach is not connecting with their target audience.
Chucking his silver medal into the stands has new meaning for me now.
The report earlier in this thread was that they had already suspended him. What if the Rangers called him up? then suspend him for not reporting
