This is your home-turf @Edge and the above don't fly.
NYR opened their mouth first spreading the news that Lias thought that he was too good for the AHL through Brooks and co. That made Lias look tremendously bad. If it was not the truth, everyone can figure out that a reaction was coming.
Again, I wonder if we're getting caught up with the translation. And we don't know the tone when he gave his answer.I don't have a problem with him responding, but if you're gonna respond then actually respond.
Don't put a little out, say you can't talk about it, and then put a little more out, and then say you can't talk about it.
Either respond or don't respond. If you choose the former, make it clear, make it understood, and then move on. It shouldn't come off as kabuki.
And the reality is, that regardless of what the Rangers said, it was based of a player just up and quitting on the team. It's not like they assigned him to the AHL, he didn't like it, and so they just started bashing him.
There was question as to what/how he communicated with the team prior to his departure. Based on what we've seen so far, it's not far-fetched to assume that he might not have done a very good job in the first place.
Again, I wonder if we're getting caught up with the translation. And we don't know the tone when he gave his answer.

There’s a big difference between “I can’t say anything” and “I don’t want to say anything”.
I’m just saying.
. . . yes. I know. It just read funny and I like to imagine that Lias is afraid of small aircraft.Personal plane = personal level...
Still waiting for KP's 'explanation to come at a later date for Knicks fans' for his douchebaggery not-gonna-play-for-you-guys-and-use-my-injury-as-an-excuse-but-we'll-publicly-say-it-was-the-team's-decision-to-keep-me-out-or-else-I'll-publicly-roast-youIt's good that Larry has caught onto this fact as well:
Looks like bull****, smells like bull**** . . .
Personally I think Lias Andersson is your classic millennial who reads everything written about him, and he had an inflated perception of how good or ready he was, read the talk amongst fans, and believed the hype.
My translation was pretty accurate, although it's true what he says in his first language is difficult to translate. 70% of communication is lost when you lose non-verbal indicators and tone. Then you have cultural differences in the usage of words. Then you have me quoting a tabloid, clickbait journalist.Again, I wonder if we're getting caught up with the translation. And we don't know the tone when he gave his answer.
He’s embarrassed. This kid doesn’t think he should have to call John Davidson back. One of the classiest guys in the hockey world says all you need to know. Won’t return Johns phone calls. He’s a little **** is what he is. I didn’t like him as a hockey player but I always liked him personally. I loved the whole thing with the number 50. I liked his battle level at the WJC playing hurt. Now I can’t stand him. What a whiny entitled no talent baby.
This situation gets more strange with each passing dayThere's no getting around it, from a strictly visual/perception standpoint, none of this does any favors for Andersson.
I also do not understand what he thinks the long term plan here is. He said that at worst, he can go back to playing hockey in a year and a half. First of all, I am not sure that is even accurate as far as to who his right belong to. I doubt they expire. But let's say that he is right. What NHL team is going to touch him and play him with the big club after a self imposed banishment in which he did not play hockey in North America? At that point, even if signed, he is probably heading for the ECHL.There's no getting around it, from a strictly visual/perception standpoint, none of this does any favors for Andersson.

Also, I'm not familiar with the inner workings of an NHL front office, but shouldn't Gorton be commenting on this, not the president of the team? Unless of course things have gotten past the point where Davidson felt the need to step in and say something
Just a genuine question, i'm not sure how the dynamics work
