Sympathy and skepticism have a close relationship. We know very little about Lias's situation (less and less by the day it seems). Why even bother taking the conversation so far outside the boundaries of hockey? Whether or not Lias is battling something listed in the DSM5 or is just sensitive, immature or on the wrong end of bad advice, why make presumptions about him personally in any way? He could be 'in the wrong' entirely from a hockey perspective -- from his words about his career moving forward, I'm inclined to believe that -- and yet, to me, the barrage of personal assaults he's likely to endure because of it, makes me pity him more than resent him.
To each their own, but it's really weird and off-putting to read so much presumptive and unfounded crap about a kid none of us (except @Amazing Kreiderman, of course) will ever meet.
He's still a kid. Hugh Jessiman at least had the benefit of being born before the internet...
Bless you.

Here's my take on lias Andersson.
Outside of this preseason, I personally never saw more than a 3rd line player at best in him. This is just my take on him as a player. It felt like if he felt the absolute peak of his abilities, he'd be a guy like Steve rucchin. At absolute best a Steve rucchin, but odds are more like a Brian Boyle type 4th liner.
That's a terrible pick at 7. I hate low ceiling high floor guys particularly so high in the draft. I wanted brannstrom, or necas and wasn't happy at all with lias.
All the rest of this nonsense doesn't mean much to me. All that matters to me is that as a player, he's always looked blah.right now all he's doing is hurting his trade value, and that's his perogative. However I still blame the team for taking him in the first place.
Bless you.
