Lawrence Anyways was presented at the Cannes film festival in the "Un certain regard" category. Suzanne Clément won a prize for her role.

He only said he would have preferred the official category but he was still happy it was chosen for that other category.

Once again, I don't think that's crying for not winning a prize...

OK.

I thought there was an issue with one of his selections at Cannes.

Anyone looking forward to Marvel's Deadpool? I'm told the character has a huge fanbase and has been asking about an on-screen version for years.

Re: Apollo 13,

If David O. Russell had directed that movie it would have ended with Jennifer Lawrence dancing on the surface of the moon in celebration over her successful mission.

I watched "Heat" yesterday.

It was alright, I guess. Acting was very, very solid, but the runtime was just so looong. Some of the stuff they put in there felt unnecessary and I think the movie would have benefited being condensed to about 120-130 minutes instead of the actual 170 minutes.

Anyone checked out The Suicide Squad trailer? It looks intense. Leto is gonna make a terrific joker

I really want to give the strain an other chance but by God s02e01 is once again so dumb. This show insults my intelligence, and I'm not saying I'm an Einstein or anything either.

New trailer released at San Diego Comicon -- current online versions of very poor quality.

I'm starting to get fed up with superheroes movies/TV shows. Too many of them.

Deadpool/Suicide squad/BvS sound cool, but Antman? Come on now....

You're out of luck, both Marvel and DC plan to release 2-3 superheroes movies per year until 2020.

That's what I thought when I saw guardians but it ended up being great. From the early reviews, it looks as if antman will be better than the others you mentioned. There really is an oversaturation of superhero movies these days though and nothing tells me that ot will slow down.

I dream of a world in which its inhabitants wouldn't be forced to watch films they are uninterested in watching.

Might end up the best of of the bunch.

Saw it tonight. Great movie. Lots of fun.

I'm sticking to my guns and saying as far as movie trends go, I'd gladly suffer through an over saturation of super hero movies than whatever other crap trends happen.

Even the bad ones aren't even that bad. They employ an obscene amount of people.

If you want films with more 'substance' route through the entire history of world cinema and you'll find enough there to keep you busy 5 lifetimes over. Even old Hollywood movies have more brains, heart and better acting in one scene then most critically acclaimed movies from the last 20-30 years. Let alone the last 5-10.
