Andreas Johansson had a decent year with us in the early 2000's then a couple years with Nashville.
That 2001-02 team had more than it's share of reclamation or often injured players:Andreas Johansson had a decent year with us in the early 2000's then a couple years with Nashville.
What could have been? They were lucky to get what they did out of him. He has no knees.Sigh, what could have been with Bure.
Yup. I remember being so hopeful when we got him. What could have been? They were lucky to get what they did out of him. He has no knees.
I was also a bit sour that they gave him Graves’ #9 to wear for his stint here. What could have been? They were lucky to get what they did out of him. He has no knees.
Wish we got him back in 99 or so from Vancouver. We had a package of Sundstrom, Cloutier, and a first. The sticking point I believe was not wanting to put Manny Maholtra in the deal.Yup. I remember being so hopeful when we got him.

He Made an N.H.L. Career Out of Being a Pest. It Isn’t Working in Court.
“Your Honor, we have an open relationship here.”
I was also a bit sour that they gave him Graves’ #9 to wear for his stint here.
What's the old quote - a man who represents himself in court has a fool for a client?
Avery is such a POS and it's pretty telling whenever I see anyone support him on here. He was a horrendous person when he was on the Rangers and only seems to have gotten worse with age, which is quite shocking.
I was a kid back when he played and use to hang outside the garden before games to see if I could catch the guys going into the stadium. Most would spend minutes signing through everyone's autos since they weren't huge crowds, guys like Hank, Gomez, Dubi, etc. Everytime, Avery would just blow everyone off with some snotty comment as if he was too good to do so.
I remember him in a recall when he was with the Wings very early in his career when he spent most of the game trying to spear people in the balls. Eric Boulton lost his shit trying to get at him and he sprinted down the ice to get behind a couple of teammates and one of the officials, laughing the entire time. It was telling of future behavior.
He's an NHL Shock-JockThe funny thing with Avery is that it's such common knowledge that he's an unstable POS, but it still surprises people when he acts like one. He's been doing this shit for his entire public life, it's not like it's a secret lol.
"Omg I can't believe Avery did that?!"
really? you can't believe it? really? Come on.
Still liked him as a player even though he is a massive a-hole.
I remember Conor Allen (one N still annoys me) coming up for a game and being decent, and then having to legitimately tell an excited PGT that he was 25.Danny Kristo was like our best prospect at one point. And Thomas was a guy we were legitimately excited about. Even now, with lots of prospect graduations, that's still hilarious (and sad) to think about.
Danny Kristo played in Hartford with Conor Allen, who, I won't lie, I was legitimately convinced would have an NHL career.
Kind of remember him being touted as a tough guy with a little bit of scoring touch. He did neither in his short tenure with the Rangers.Lambert named Islanders head coach - TSN.ca
he New York Islanders stayed in house for their new head coach. The club named Lane Lambert as its new bench boss on Monday, a week after the firing of Barry Trotz following four seasons with the team.www.tsn.ca
