My favorite rando player is, and always will, be Tim Sweeney.

Just as my favorite game from the dark ages is, and always will be, the game he scored two goals against Colorado and Roy deked out Gretzky and did a spinorama past Kovalev.
Better than the Jeff Toms hat trick?

I don't have time to go through all 16 pages: has anyone mentioned Jay Wells?

I loved the guy. I especially remember an interview in which he described how Pavel Bure sneakily high-sticked him right off a faceoff and broke his nose, so he just popped his nose back while sitting on the ice. No big deal.

I know that Matthew Barnaby was mentioned. Loved him. The Buffalo version was much better, but he was fun.

The story about Lyle Odelien and him is particularly fantastic. Especially seeing Odelien just completely loose it before the puck was even dropped on the face off.

mentioning Wells leads to others on '94,
and this great trivia question
whose is the first Russian player name on the Stanley Cup?
Potsy
RIP

It gets pretty tense around here especially when we're playing particularly horrible. So let's play a game, which isn't really a game, but is just a feature on a sports blog I like. It's called Let's Remember Some Guys. You don't have to do anything other than post some guys that you remember. Maybe you want to recall when you saw them randomly, like @NYR Viper just recalled seeing Kris Newbury and @Amazing Kreiderman saw Andrew Yogan playing in Beirut or somewhere. The guys don't need to be special or noteworthy, just guys you remember, or guys who if you say their name, you think other people will be like, "I remember that guy."

Terry Yake

Rumun Ndur

Zarley Zalapski

Peter Sidorkiewicz

Brent Fedyk

Do you guys remember any of those guys?
fun fact about yogan, one of my best friends played with him in florida when they were kids

There was Eric Lacroix who did nothing for the Rangers but the name sticks in my head for some reason.

We also had Todd Harvey who had an incredible stretch of 28 points in 37 games. Then he got hurt and sort of died after that.

That was my childhood.
