Seems like the best they can hope for us to stumble into the playoffs and maybe luck into a round win. Guess that makes both parties happy. They still seem roughly mediocre if they are blessed with the good health they and Karlsson had last season.

Too many pieces for me to unpack the value to each team, but I'm just amazed Pitt didn't get more retention for Karlsson with that many moving parts and a third team being involved.

Have already read some speculatation that the Habs may look to offload Petry at 50% (~$2.3M) prior to the start of the season and he has an extra year. I wonder if that affects teams possibly interested in Pesce. Maybe it doesn’t…

I mean, it is Dubas. The man ain't exactly known for cap discipline.
