[Goose of Reason]

One thing about Leo is he always seems to have a slow first period and then get progressively better as the game goes on. Which as somebody who lives in Atlantic Canada is quite rude because I passed out pretty much right before his first goal and I woke up to miss a hattrick.

What a fantastic player though. Sky high IQ and the skill and size to match. He is going to be a force.

Yeah he reminds me a lot of Kopitar in that way. Responsible, Intelligent and Patient.

Really excited for the chemistry to build and see him putting a lot of apples on the board in addition to goals.

Except Leo seems to like to throw some checks sometimes too

I also liked his comment about being on the half wall on the PP. Hopefully Brown realizes that he can’t put him in front of the net just because he is tall. Takes away his strengths.

Honestly? He should not be sitting at all. He has gotten better as the season has progressed.

I know how you feel . Will be in Anaheim in a couple of weeks and want to see him play also, but risk him being scratched.

I just think you let him play though the ups and downs.

“ this is the plan for the first 2 months of the season then we will reevaluate “ I’m ok with this program. And would bet a lot that this program comes to an end after the 2 month mark. There are times where you can see him just fall from flat out fatigue and or muscled easily off the puck. This new program also instills a sense of duty to the entire team about keeping in peak shape etc sends a strong message to all players

Fantilli: 13 games, 2g + 5a (not including today's game)

Could have sworn that Fantilli would have been the immediate goal scorer and Carlsson the assist maker.

Or... maybe our wings are finding Carlsson in a shooting position.

But I guess you missed the whole point that original thought that Carlsson is an assist maker and Fantilli the goal scorer roles are reversed early in the season.

I didnt miss the point.

I agree he was supposed to be a playmaker. I just think the issue is not that he hasn't made the passes. There was one sick pass last night that went through a couple ducks instead of into a gaping net. It is that Terry,Z, havent had the puck luck of finishing. He should have 2-3 more assists on top of that start in fewer games.

Carlson in 1-2 years {and Minty} god willing they stay healthy(see Drysdale so far) will be a force.

Not worried about the face off thing at all. Bedard is at 37% and Fantilli at 40%. Most teenagers get abused in the dot. He will be at least 45% in a year or two is my guess

I’m glad Cronin is just letting him go out there and take his lumps. I don’t think there’s any point to putting him with a center on his wing and not letting him take draws- that’s not going to make him better
