@GoAwayPanarin will rebut me but IMO there is a timeline where they sign Panarin but also put more emphasis on the future (trading Kreider, not trading Buch or trading him for futures, not signing Mika to that terrible deal).

We wouldn’t have 2 conference finals appearances but Panarin could have been a very fun player for the franchise and we could be coming out the other side right about now with a still-elite Panarin and a lot more young talent ready to really compete.
This reality could exist. It's more so what signing Panarin signaled. We all knew it.

The coach thing I find funny, because if you can name a coach that would have "coached" the team to a win tonight I will venmo you .01.

You think the Swede behind Chicago's bench, who "coached" his team to a pretty dominant win, would have had the Rangers beating the Hawks? Prime Bowman? Fcking Al Arbor?

Regressing to the mean

I expected regression. Hell I've long been annoyed that the Rangers regularly hold records that do not reflect their actual quality of play on ice. Its a habit they've had for years now.

But this is so much worse the anyone imagined. I don't care how doomer anyone is. No one predicted a total bottoming out like this.

John Davidson is a fathead who has no business on the managerial side of a hockey club.
Should have never left the booth.
Talks the talk but can’t walk the walk.
That rebuild didn’t work out because we drafted a bunch of nobodies. We even got gifted a top end defenseman. LOL. Chytil and Laf are the only two guys worth caring about, and poor Chytil can’t stay healthy, and Laf has only done for 1 year. The rebuild stalled because the FO blew ass. I mean idiot Drury gets a first for Nils and then trades it for a rental over the hill forward in a year where this team didn’t have it. LOL

It’s upstairs. Clean it the f*** out proper.
