I think they've played hard and the results aren't for a lack of effort, but I think their competitiveness in these games has been a bit overrated.

They've gotten points in a bunch of games where they've gotten their teeth kicked in (tonight being hopefully the last in a long list of them.)

They have 4 wins over their last 19 games. This roster is largely what will be back next year.

Yes, for sure. I guess I'm more optimistic that the young players will continue to develop and that we will look into adding Panarin. It sucks for sure, we are atleast a couple years from being really good but I'm ok as long as their is a plan and it doesnt hit too many speed bumps.

Andersson has looked noticeably faster and playing with pace the last handful of games. Good to see.

He's probably starting to think the game faster as he adjusts to the pace. In doubt he boosted good foot speed. He's just getting to the right spot sooner. Would be my guess.

I was all on board with going after Panarin but he looks completely disinterested in this game and they really need to win. Has he even touched the puck yet? Not sure if this is the guy to go for.

If we’re spending an AAV of 11+ mil on one player in our 2nd year of rebuilding (officially), he better f***ing be a surefire superstar. If it turns out he isn’t and we overpay, it will seriously set back the rebuild. I have a bad feeling about Panarin, even though I really like him. Anything more than an AAV of 8.5-9 mil is not a great idea.

Personally, I love Georgiev bulldogging himself into long-term conversations and creating competition - be it with Lundqvist, or Shesterkin, or whoever.

Not a bad thing at all.

It’s good until Shestyorkin becomes difficult and doesn’t come because of our depth (not saying he’s like that or that it will happen, or that Shestyorkin will be better than Georgiev).

Liking Lindgren's game

I agree with Edge. I like his uniqueness. He’s good defensively, but can also skate. He’s never going to produce big offensive numbers, but he can make some nice passes. He’s physical, but small. He’s sort of a contradiction.

But unfortunately he gets lost in the shuffle. And that’s the only negative of acquiring Fox. Because if we do end up signing Fox, Lindgren will just get pushed further down the depth chart.
