Something needs to be done here. I'm not saying get rid of Holl. I still believe he's an NHL d man but shouldn't be a stable in the bottom pair nevermind top 4. When Jack Han who is a supporter of Keefe doesn't like it, you know it's a problem. Muzzin had his best game with Liljegren beside him, run it out for 2-3 games and see what happens.

What a relief - everyone (team and fans) needed that, like oxygen straight to the lungs.

Don't kid yourself - if things continue to go south, Nylander will be the first one traded, and he'll be the last one that deserves it. Just the nature of his contract/production.
I think that would be the last straw of incompetence.

Leafs fans: Just Win a f***ing game!
Leafs: Wins a game.

Leafs Fans: meh, you need to beat a good team.
Leafs: Beat a good team.

Leafs Fans: meh, let's see you keep doing it
Leafs: Win more.

Leafs Fans: Meh, talk to me when you win a series
Leafs: Wins a series

Leafs Fans: meh, call me when you win a cup.
Leafs: Wins the cup.

Leafs fans: Meh, let's see you do it again...

This fan base is just as toxic if not more so than Montreal.

Not appreciating beating the worst team in the league by the skin of their teeth and looking bad while doing it = not appreciating a Cup win. Way to extrapolate to that conclusion.

You remember the Vietnam war and the moon landings? I don’t. That was the last time the Leafs sniffed a cup.

man it’s so hard for me to hate the leafs. Maybe it’s cuz I’ve only been a fan for almost 3ish years, but boy does a win make me happy. Doesn’t matter if it’s against the London knights, or the tampa bay lighting. Wins are gud

this group, this core, this team, this organization. I just want them to win. I want them to win so badly cuz it’s obvious to tell that they are talented, but they never use it.

And that’s my TED talk on being a leafs fan

I don’t think Liljegren is the answer but Holl has got to be replaced.

Muzzin is not at a stage in his career where he can be paired with a stay at home D (or at least one like Holl). He IS the stay at home D who sometimes pinches.

100% agreed he needs Liljegren.

we won 2 out of 3 periods plus the OT, outshot them by something like 40 to 30 and you think yhe Hawks should have won. Nice!

Well that's probably because I watched this full game for once and the Leafs did not win 2 of 3 periods. I'll even go as far as saying they played even in the second and the third was also a crapshoot. Campbell LITERALLY kept Chicago from winning this game multiple times. And yeah I get that is what a goalie is supposed to do. But not when you are playing Chicago. Not on multiple man alone in front shots and a clear 1 on zero breakaway during your own PP.

In overtime the blackhawks came in with 2 guys fully covered and actually ended up with both players alone in front of Cambpell. This is something we should be proud of?

Next few games would be perfect too. Let Liljegren get comfortable against Detroit, then bunker down against Vegas and earn a chance to play against bolts and bruins.

Campbell didn’t do anything wrong and made a few great saves. Other than him it was disastrous effort.

Nylander was hot dogs hit until the last goal.

This win results in short term gain for long term pain because Dubious and Keefe will keep their jobs a bit longer.

We were the better team tonight. Score and shots seem to bare that out. I'm happy with the deserved 2 points. No way Chicago deserved them.

Yeah except which part of your awesome story is reality? Because 17 years of no series win, and 54 years of not even a CUP final is what makes fans toxic. Leafs BARELY and Luckily win an absolutely atrocious game against an absolutely abysmal club and organization and it's time to celebrate. wtf Maybe if we expect better and show them that we expect better they might actually get better instead of yearly participation medals in April.

I think more just because the boys have been down so you take a win right now in any way. Hopefully it gets them rolling (even though they didnt play how we expect).

Few good moments, lots of bad ones, and then Leafs got a nice bounce in OT to go their way courtesy Willy Styles.

Gritty win.

It looks like Muzzin is injured. Holl had the flu. Maybe he’s still not well. That pairing was struggling out there
