Haha, true but you completely missed the point. It doesn't matter where we are in my little timeline, the point is a large majority of this fanbase is toxic and incredibly embarrassing to be associated with.

Disagree.....a small minority is toxic. A large majority is just fed up of the underachieving.

They get to the Final 4 last season (like they should have) the majority would have been disappointed but reasonable.

This is the second time I've watched them this season.

The first was the Pens game, I turned it off after it was 3-1.

I could easily have watched the other games, I just didn't.

From what I saw Willy, Mo, Campbell, Brodie and Bunting have been good, while everyone else has been below average.

The PP is still doing the same thing it did when teams figured it out and it stopped working, in March.

They have too much talent to be playing like this, and just watch - they'll reel off 7 wins in 9 games sometime soon and be right in the thick of it. Probably a 5th-8th seed just in time for the playoffs.

I'm finding it difficult to get excited.

So Seth Jones sucks eh..

Well why the f*** couldn't we abuse this sucky D when we played against him in a series?

We did, their goalies played better. They had ABSURD save percentages and not just stats, by the eye test as well.

Good start. Hope they can continue. Wins against Boston and Tampa in the comings weeks would do a lot to smooth over this terrible start.

Did not realize that there was a game.

Forgot all about it.

What is really odd is that there is another franchise in the league that is even more on the ropes than the Leafs with everything surrounding it.

I hope they rectify that situation.

Peace.

Or...and just hear me out...enjoy the game. You took the time to watch and when they win you cant even enjoy it? We know for sure you would bitch and complain if they lost. So what's the point? Why watch? Why waste your time?

Just an idea, be a god damn adult and find a little joy in your life.

Where did I say that I was unhappy that they won? Obviously a win is a win and you’ll take it anyway you can get it. But, it still doesn’t change the fact that for large pockets of this game, they played terrible.

All I am saying is we should taper expectations. I am not doing cartwheels for beating an 0-6 team that’s in the midst of a major scandal at the moment.

I found it hilarious people raging at Rielly on PP and blaming him when it was marner with a pass nowhere close to Mo
meh I didn't blame him on the pass I was annoyed he was shouting and tripping them up when there was no need. Nylander was clearly confused on the PP before and it cost him possession. You lose possession once off something dumb, you're getting called out.

The fact several sports personalities have recently spoken up about the toxicity of this fan base shows your wrong. Of the people willing to speak about the game the majority is toxic is probably a better way of putting it. But the things this fan base says about its players can be disgusting.

What a relief - everyone (team and fans) needed that, like oxygen straight to the lungs.

Well, William saved Dubas. Thankfully now there really is no way he trades him.

Don't kid yourself - if things continue to go south, Nylander will be the first one traded, and he'll be the last one that deserves it. Just the nature of his contract/production.

This team suffered the biggest collapse their group ever has last year and pro seem to forget that this is very likely still weighing on them. They're battling through adversity now and the first thing that gets thrown into their face is how they collaped last year.

They're doing the best that they can to block everything out and battle through it... Just like they did tonight. If they can build on this game, the goals will start coming soon and they'll start looking much better than they have so far.

Should also point out that if the PP gets going when our sh% goes back to the norm and the PK keeps up their good play, they'll finally have both special teams running at the same time which makes a MUCH bigger impact than people think. Lots of Tampa's (and other "elite" teams) mask their bad games by winning the special teams battle.

Anyways, good hard fought win. Hope they can build on this and the goals start pouring in!

I'm not sure you understand what toxic means. Competition =/= toxic

Red Sox vs Yankees in the ALCS isn’t good clean competition. Michael Jordan overcoming the Detroit Pistons isn’t good clean competition. If there isn’t an element of toxicity, hatred, bad behaviour and a lot of negative emotion, we don’t have a sense of achieving and overcoming adversity and drama that makes sports fun.

This fan base is just as toxic if not more so than Montreal.
Your effort in this post was almost as bad as the Leafs effort tonight.
