Post-Game Talk: Leafs win.

Hopefully they start playing much better hockey after this game with a little more confidence in themselves now and the pressure alleviated. Play like that against any team not named Chicago or Arizona and we will get our asses handed to us as usual. We could have easily lost this game in the third as Chicago got a lot of chances on us.

Sports in general is supposed to be toxic though… why else are you watching a bunch of people in colourful clothes trying to establish dominance over another in a contest of physicality and skill?

decent last 2 periods but man we still arent going anywhere until we stop the nonsense low % passes constantly. i get we are a creative team but we give up so many unnecessary odd man rushes against every game.
im happy we won though, team needed that! go leafs!

Fair enough. But, I am just saying that it's going to take alot.... And I mean ALOT more then needing O.T to beat an 0-6 team to impress me and win me back.

JT, Marner and ATM should be sendinjg some cash Willies way to equal things out. Nice win but our D play is poor.
 
There is a 0% chance Muzzin is healthy.

Dermott needs to move into the top 4. Cant do much worse than Muzzin or Holl right now.
 
I love the passion there, great game by Soupy and Nylander again. Our 2 best players so far this year. Overall I'm happy after the the last 40 ish minutes of that game. Some sloppy plays, Rielly made a few silly mistakes but I'll take it. Progress. Game shouldn't have been that close vs Chicago but can't complain, hopefully something to build off of.

Yeah except which part of your awesome story is reality? Because 17 years of no series win, and 54 years of not even a CUP final is what makes fans toxic. Leafs BARELY and Luckily win an absolutely atrocious game against an absolutely abysmal club and organization and it's time to celebrate. wtf Maybe if we expect better and show them that we expect better they might actually get better instead of yearly participation medals in April.

A win is a win but there are still some really terrible habits that need to be corrected. We have grade A chances in the last 5 minutes. By no means has this team shown they're an improved or a more mature bunch.

Lol exactly. I am extremely negative about this team, but even I had few yeah and fist pumps after the goal. That was such a needed goal.
Maybe because of the situation too because if you win, win against that garbage organization with no self respect, but still important goal.
