Post-Game Talk: Leafs win.

Few Notes, I thought this was Marner’s best game. He actually looked engaged tonight and was on a mission.

JT needs to get his head out of his ass. Not loving Matthews (he needs to face more criticism), especially on the PP.

Nylander is a beast and Campbell is our backbone

Two points - nice! Great place for Kampf to notch his first Leaf goal and point. The top guys also showed up on the scoresheet.

Yeah, I think folks were letting the pessimism of the recent days get to the better of them.

The D had some cringy errors, but the Leafs we're clearly the better team for most of the game

That was an ugly, hard fought, much needed comeback win to boost team morale.

Still a lot of work to do though.

Took everything to get by a bad Chi team which is concerning, but a huge two points that will no doubt help their confidence. Points from all the big boys which is good to see.
 
what I like is Matthews is pissed off. He was yelling on the bench. Yelling at Holl one time when Holl made an extra move at the blueline to cause offside.

He also was giving it to the fan after Willy scored.

This is a guy tired of the BS and looking to be more assertive on this team. Tavares might have the C but this team goes as 34 goes.

I would love to see a pissed-off Matthews all season long. A chip on his shoulder all year be amazing. Take that into the playoffs
