A win is a win is a win. At least the Leafs showed some fight and came back this time instead of completely folding when they were down. That's a positive to takeaway from this game.

Leafs: Wins the cup.

Leafs fans: Meh, let's see you do it again...

This fan base is just as toxic if not more so than Montreal.

Maybe this somewhat gross road win will bring them back to life. Matthews to Nylander is good. Marner scoring would have been big too.

I wasn't following the GDT and was shocked when I read how negative it was. They woke up, and played really well and in sync in the 2nd half of the game. They looked like last years team again. That's a good building block.

They eked out a close win over the worst team in the league missing its best player, so that's not exactly something to get incredibly excited about.

Still nice to run into yet another hot goalie but not just completely give up about it.

What happened?!! I turned it off after 2-0 and werent skating, checked the score the Leafs win it? Maybe I'm bad luck being an Avalanche fan first.

Love the finish and the emotion from Matthews and Nylander after it went in. The boys battled and showed heart. All the big guys with points. I will take it.
It took a big effort to beat the worse team in the NHL however Sheldon Keefe is happy.

I have to say it feels good to be in the win column again. Few things about tonight: Muzzin and Holl were both still horrendous. I don't think Holl has had a single game where he's been above a 45% xgf. He's just abysmal and belongs nowhere near an NHL roster right now. Matthews had a bad night. His passes and decision making in the offensive zone were off. Marner was our best player today by a landslide. He was magnificent imo. Nylander was quiet but good, Kampf was unbelievable. Oh and Seth Jones actually sucks balls. I don't know what happened but he is basically Ristolainen with a better reputation. Just an abysmal defensive player and he makes a lot of needlessly risky plays.
