Good response. Would have been easily deflating to dominate and trail after 1, but they kept plugging away and got a much deserved win in this one.
Samsanov was slow to begin but was solid rest of the way.
Also new plan play Holl only against Connor and Ovi

Samsonov was good enough, which is a lot more than you could say for the other guy. The net should be his until he loses it

Other than that, that was a far better game. Outplaying the opponent is a good idea

Caps go 0-2 to start the season .. they miss Backstrom for sure, but that is an aging team.

They'll still make the playoffs IMO but they're not the force they once were.
