Samsonov really settled in after the 2nd goal and Muzzin and Holl were stout in the final minutes.

Muzzin and Holl are fine if they don't have to leave their own zone.

Problems are when they venture past their own blueline.

They're bad on the regroups, like when the forwards can't get a clean zone exit and curl back and cause more pain and suffering. Like that Engvall bump pass back into the high slot when he could have just skated it out and taken a slash or a hit.

Not perfect but much cleaner. Samsonov let in some weak goals but battled through. I’d keep rotating the goalies until one steals the net.

Props to Samsonov who was excellent after a rough start. Also, Holl was much better than last night.

Good Leafs win. I feel it was apparent the refs were trying to help the Caps on those last 2 penalties.
