Entertaining. Won't critique a win - piling up points is all that matters.

That’s not what happens for any other superstars in this league. They don’t get replaced by kampf type players with empty nets

Plenty of teams put defensive guys out to close out a lead... There's also a "how has a player played this game" factor.

If we want the team to close out leads better why on earth would we get upset by playing defensive specialists at the end of the game? As long as they are actually good defensively and not just players without offensive ability that we can afford the cap hit for. From what I've seen of Kampf he's pretty solid :dunno:

Great game by the Tavares line. Llilegren looked really solid. Good game by the Kampf line.

Dermott is NOT a top 4 defenceman. Mrazek couldn’t make a big save. Matthews looks lost.
Disagree, I think he actually made a few. Not his best game though.

Dermott needs more games at RHD, you can clearly see he is uncomfortable at playing on the right side.

A couple of Dzone mistakes that ended up in the back of the net, it happens. Glad they get the two points.

Team played well, one of their better performances so far this season (admittedly not saying much). Mrazek was … sketchy. It’s still super early, hopefully he turns it around, but if not … 3 years at $3.8 mil AAV is a potentially terrible contract. Hope he doesn’t cost us Campbell.

Now that I think about it and look at the ice time in the 3rd. Looks like Dermott was benched in the 3rd. He didn't play the last 9 mins. Only got just under 3 mins in that period. Liljegren played almost 7.

Last shift was the 3rd GA where he made a mess out of a pretty basic retrieval by overthinking it then changed coverage to the least dangerous man after Nylander gets walked leading to the GA (Rielly is also horrific on it).

Wouldn't be surprised to see Holl beside Rielly next game

Large parts of this game yes. They were up 33 shots to 19 at one point. They had double the scoring chances. They had 4 more minutes of puck possession in the offensive zone. The 3rd period was not great though, despite scoring a couple goals. They had some bad bad giveaways.

Can we not do this negativity baloney and pretend like they didn't have a good game just because it wasn't 10-0.

Provide your thoughts on the game if you disagree.
Agreed. The name and content of every single one on that poster's post screams 5 letter word that we are not allowed to say.

How pathetic is it that we are so badly in other team's heads that they have to resort to making up secondary profiles to go to another teams board to (5 letter word) their fansbase.

It's sad, but this is the reality.

I want to see:
Rielly - Brodie
Muzzin - Liljegren
Sandin - Dermott/Holl

Rotate Holl and Dermott till one of them takes the job. Trade the other one in the summer.
I like Liljegren with Muzzin. He skates and moves the puck well which complements Muzzin’s game. And Muzzin is the best Dman on the team to learn from for a young defensive Dman.

I like Holl's game and he's pretty cheap. I also haven't watched much of the leafs this year but I know the talk... I'll take your word for it.

The results and the media around the team this season haven't exactly motivated me to make sure I catch the next game or anything lol. I guess I'm probably gonna hear it about not being a "true" fan or whatever but to be honest I'm just fatigued. It's just repeating what Dangle said but it so true. Teams lose games, whatever, but the inconsistent level of effort for sooooo long is just too frustrasting for me to want to devote that many of my free evenings anymore. At this point I'd rather keep up with what's happening by turning on a podcast, following transactions, watching the odd game, turning it on for a period here and there to see if the game's worth watching, etc.

Dangle can absorb my punishment for the sin of being a leaf fan like some kinda leafs jesus figure. I don't need it anymore lol.

On a more positive note Liljegren looked good. The people who actually watch the AHL have being saying he's rounded into a steady guy for what feels like years now. He's making it look like giving him a chance was indeed overdue.
Seeing as you are a fan for much longer then me, I’d say your a “truer” fan then me.

It doesn’t even matter if you are a “true fan”. Hockey is just entertainment at the end of the day. If you don’t find this team entertaining, then it’s fine for you to not watching every game.there no point watching a form if in entertaining entertainment, that’s just dumb

I do think that once the leafs do turn things around, which I think they do, it may bring back some of that lost passion. They are stuck in limbo right now, and as I’m a newer fan, I’m not fatigued from that, I haven’t experienced that type of loss of passion.
