First time we play Ottawa's full roster since the Greig incident

Hopefully the team shows up. Lots of talk last season about how it was unacceptable and Rielly took one for the team. All that becomes talk if the team no shows, or worse, is losing by 1 and he does it again.

Too bad about Pacioretty, looked like a hamstring. Sucks because he looked like he was gelling with Tavares and Nylander.

Matthews and Dewer available soon. So we have some depth to cover injuries. lol.

Sloppy passes .. wonder when St Louis' seat gets hot. At some point you expect progress.

You could hear Les Execs.. You know, I hear de AHL is nice this tine of year.

Something French like that about him

The team just looks so much better than years past. They are playing the right way. Hopefully they keep it up.

Another strong overall game with the PP clicking. Leafs were dead last on the PP a week or so ago and now it's 12th or something. Woll was very good and they had a good effort for most of the game.

With that said, the Leafs need to find a way to get the bottom lines to score, notably Robertson, McMann and Holmerg. They were good but they need to produce.

I don't know why the Habs think St-Louis is a good coach and they have a lot of issues there.
The bottom line scored the first goal.

The size on defense and in goal really gives them a sense of stability. OEL, Tanev, even Timmins now give them some guys who can defend with length and sprint a puck out of trouble. That aspect is really different this year.

Bieksa - "the montreal players haven't quit on MSL"

You could have fooled me.

I'm not necessarily defending him (though I did like him as a player). but look at their roster.

They have some promising young talent in Slaf, Hutson and Demidov, but I don't think any coach would make them a playoff team right now.

That said, apparently they have terrible metrics along with a bad record. Maybe Marty's system is ineffective or a bad fit for the roster.

I think the biggest concern is that they have clearly taken a step back this year compared to last. Like they lost a lot of competitive one goal games last year. They just straight up look like dog shit this year.

Tidy!

Habs suck.

Biggest difference so far this year, when the other teams push, the Leafs rarely crack. They just stick with it... Keefe's Leafs crumbled almost every time.

Woll was good... everyone was good!

Berube was fuming in the 3rd because Leafs were playing a little too much in their own zone even with a 4-1 lead

There is a difference for sure
