Dreger just said on FirstUp that it is extensive and he'll be out for awhile.

Nick probably a little too soon with the scoop there. A pulled hamstring can be extensive.

I guess it just comes down to what your expectations were. He could have torn his hamstring and been out for the season. That was probably worst case scenario. Maybe looking at more like 4-6 weeks instead? It isn't the worst outcome.

I agree with

I like the pairings of forwards but does this put Holmberg in the top nine with 16 and 89?

I would like to see

Knies/McMann Matthews Robertson
Pacioretty Tavares Nylander
Knies/McMann Domi Marner

You got it, no real good option at center to take the middle between Nik and Marner. If Matty and JT are driving otehr lines. Ideally you got a guy who is great at faceoffs and can grind on the boards. I think I'd take Kampf over Holmberg, he's a bit better on FO and is stronger on the puck. Not an ideal situation but you want a guy to get the puck back for Marner to set up Nik, maybe with Nik on Marner's line Marner shoots more.

Last 5 years FO leaders QuantHockey Query Explorer

I assume Giroux cannot play C anymore, because I suspect he could become available at the deadline.
The Sens are going nowhere, and I don't know if he wants to spend what he has left there even if its home.

One of the best FO guys ever, would be a great addition.

Depending on how serious it is and how high a pain tolerance Max has you can wrap a hammy. When I was much younger playing football, I had a hammy pull , tear, what ever you want o call it, I wrapped it and played. It hurt but it was manageable.

If he is obtainable, I would get him and not blink. Figure out where to play him afterwards.
Still has plenty in the tank, and because of family ties... his only option to stay close to home and compete is Toronto.
