What game did you watch last night? Sen’s we’re pathetic, defensive breakouts were embarrassing to witness, that 2 man advantage was another sad display, my heart goes out to the Ottawa Valley boys, it’s going to be a long long shortened season IMO.
Last night we were the clear better team and Ottawa was bad, I totally agree with that train of thought. We also made it incredibly hard for them with our play which was great. Just seen some posts in this thread writing off our good performance because, "we were playing Ottawa".

As I said in the original post this is by no means a playoff Sens team, they are just going to be much better than the team we have seen the past 2 years, and we should give our boys some more credit for dominating almost every facet of last nights game

You’re funny.
I can't believe that fact has reached all the way to you. A more appropriate place for the compliment would have been better as you are a little misleading by quoting the post as it is unrelated to me being a wit.

I like the core of youngsters they have and they’ll be a fun team to watch in a few years. I’d like to see a loss in the SCF in their future.

I know we want to see the team bury certain teams when they have the chance. But we are also a team that is said needs to "win the close one-goal games". Well they did. They played better than a one-goal game but also closed out a close game. I'll take both.

I would rather watch Ottawa and Montreal over Carolina and Florida. Absolutely. I havent been excited by the Florida Panthers, ever.
So you dont want to watch Aho, Teravainen Necas, Trocheck etc ? Makes no damn sense. Other than the rivalries blah blah blah I'd like to think we have a bit of a rivalry too now with Carolina especially with that wild 8-6 game last year that we won and the fact that we cant hear the end of losing to their rental goalie.

I struggle with this.

I realize 5-4 scoress every game doesn't bode well, but I also remember certain media members hyperventilating about 5-1 wins like that's somehow a bad thing. How on earth is a 3-4 goal win bad?

The media will contrive everything and anything.
Apparently John Shannon is now currently counting the minutes since Nylander had a shot on goal, assist or goal .
He is one of the better ones and that isnt saying much. This is what passes as high end analysis these days.

Battle of Alberta never gets old. Especially last year watching Kassian beat down that little weasel Tkachuk and then Smith feeding Talbot lunch at center ice.
Yawn, although I like watching those Tkachuk boys.

Nylander had a bad night.

I wouldn't say he did. He wasn't the center of attention, mostly because the 1st line was significantly better than the game before, but he definitely did not have a bad game.

Watching over a few things again though, the 4th line and Bogosian were pretty weak once again. None of them have not had a bad game year.

How many times did Nylander turn over the puck? Three or four were completely unforced.

Well played game by buds ... most complete game of season ... but still got pushed at end by Sens not a good sign ... team looks better with Soup in net ... hope his win gets next start ... i always like win and you stay in approach it breeds success ... and pushes other goalie to be better when he gets his next shot at net .. sucks for Robertson ... Willy went silent again 2 games straight disappointing ... good to see Marner make a couple skilled plays and drive net once
