Post-Game Talk: Leafs win 2-1 in OT

They EARNED that now they have 2 against SJ win those too because they should.

PP is a concern even though it scored tonight.

If they continue to play like this, it makes it easier to figure out who needs to be upgraded, if that makes sense?

We don't have 10 problems like we did earlier in the season. I genuinely think, having Benoit in the dcore is helping the whole unit keep it simple.

McCann was penalized by Dubas for not being elite like Kerfoot or Hollsy, so he was exposed and claimed by Seattle.

McMann didn’t deserve to be ejected. 2 minutes at the most but well, you know, he’s a Maple Leaf.

Pretty sure Kadri is going to somehow be suspended for it too…..

I've been watching Toronto for 40 years.
Referees do not call games unfavorably against Toronto, on the whole.

My "Senators Fan Glasses" don't cloud reality.

so you have been watching hockey wrong for 40 years, nothing wrong with that I suppose, you know the Senators have a board here that you could go post in, and leave us Leaf fans alone to watch our team, I know your team is awful, but maybe if you cheer harder, they may make the playoffs before the decade is over

Was a good win and definitely more leaf fans in their building than duck fans. Every time they tried the go ducks go chant leaf fans drowned them out with go leafs go, loved it.

They did but they had help

Great winner. Loved it, loved the tic tac toe that preceded it. Mitch could've shot, but the pass was the play.

Sometimes players really need to pass the puck, the Leafs probably passed up no less than 5 goals in favour of taking a low percentage shot. It's the mentality though thats ingrained and never likely to change.

all that aside the Bud's were all skating well, the Tavares line worked hard and kept the Ducks on their heels all night. The Matthews line pretty much the same. The bottom 6 did the job they're supposed to do.

Tge Buds didn't commit a whole lot of big errors with the exception of a Dermott/Gardiner large number 3 pizza, straight up the middle, McCabe I think? I think the Ducks were more surprised then the Leafs.

Marty Jones wasnt tested a whole lot and held the fort while looking as cool as a cucumber, when called on. His opposite number Dostal had a lot of crest saves, I mean really, a lot of those 50 something saves were the kind where the puck just hits him, and then sticks.

This one is in the rearview so on to the next!

Really think Holmberg should play over Robbie as Holmberg can PK and that will help the rest of the PK forwards to be more fresh in the game.
Jones is just solid and I think that’s all the Leafs need right now. All those losses due to Sammy not making a proper NHL goalie save really stings.

Really hope the boys remember this game and have faith in themselves that they need to keep shooting, keep creating chaos in front of the goalie and goals will come.

He's a decent second pairing guy. Fell short of the hype, but I think he's just fine in a reduced role.
