Wtf. Sanderson a game time decision? Bullshit.

At least Chuck has the excuse of taking a skate to the hip a few days ago. Sanderson get too depression drunk after that loss or something?

“I’m going to confront him. I’m going to go straight to him. I’m going to beat the crap out of him. I don’t care,” Xhekaj told Nicolas Cloutier of TVA Sports.
As demonstrated in the aftermath of the first Canada - US game, premeditated fights are super f***ing lame.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there an automatic fine and/or suspension for Xhekaj now if he does fight tonight? Wasn't there a league rule made after the Bertuzzi/Moore (or perhaps some other incident) where premeditation/intimidation before a game resulting in an in-game fight results in a much bigger penalty from the league?

I thought there was; could not find any rule; so not sure

ya sorry Tkachuk u lost ur right to be a game time decision the second u were healthy enough to play the championship game for your country.

Agreed. It's not like he has a serious injury if he's a gametime decision, and next game isn't until wednesday, so he's basically saying he's only willing to play through it if it's for his country.

Tough luck dude, we've got 26 games left with a very precarious WC spot we could be out of as soon as Tuesday if we lose tonight.

Also, it's weird to make a GDT with outdated info from yesterday when there was already a ore-game talk with basically the same information.

Haven’t we learned what a warrior Brady is, this isn’t Bobby Ryan we are talking about here, this guy is a true animal and id bet my house he plays tonight

Good luck with that lol.

I think the mindset that we should be upset that these players who played for 2 weeks and had one of the best moments the nhl has had in years is such a weird take esp if they want a morning skate off or even if they miss a game.

We are actually lucky that we had two weeks off as we would have played those games without Norris in Pinto

I think its awesome that the new generation of players are actually trying to expand the NHL and are trying to market themselves and the game.

We'll see how you feel if we miss the playoffs by a few points because we wanted to give some extra rest to some guys who played for the country across the border lol.

I get Tkachuk sitting if he actually is injured and they’re worried about aggravating it, but if he and Sanderson are out tonight because they “played a lot of hockey”, as Green said? That’s pretty dumb.

Sanderson has played 2 games in the last 13 days, Tkachuk 3. And they were in Montreal and Boston, not Europe. I get a couple of them were real intense… but c’mon now.

What is this, the NBA?

I don't have an issue with Tkachuk and Sanderson missing this game if the night off will put them in a better position to perform down the stretch. It doesn't serve anyone's interests to have them limping into the home stretch.
Sanderson played Monday and Thursday and had multiple days off before that. If anything his schedule has been quite light the last two weeks. Only 2 games lol

New breed of player man. They get emotional and need mental health breaks

After getting threatened by chekaj he might play.

Bingo.

Fan of the team, or the players?

I'm a fan of the team. I want this team to win games so we can finally get some playoff hockey. I will not be happy if any player ends up missing games we need to win to get there because their priorities laid elsewhere.

Would like to see Ostapchuk step in and goon Zerber Jackeye. We are a team, Hab’s are a bunch of floaters looking for meaning.

I wouldn’t back down from this, I’d just do it on our terms

What is this meathead going on about.

Seems completely out of left field.

Did I miss a dirty hit from Brady in the last game against the Habs?

It must be hard Tkachuk and Sanderson to lose to the superior team and then play for a city in that superior country!

I wonder if Brady is planning to stage a fight with Chabot in the locker room so as to save his pride.

Detroit is up 1-0 on the Wild.. 1 pt behind the Sens with a game in hand. Wild - No Kaprizov

Larkin is in for Detroit; Boldy, Brodin and Faber are in for the Wild

Sens have to get healthy .. every able bodied player should be in the lineup and fired up

Brady played about as intense as a player possibly could in those 3 games though. Dude was going 150% out there, it wouldn't be surprising if he needs a few days to recoup. We've got 26 games left, we need the guys to be healthy for most of that stretch.

I think it's a trap game tonight. Ottawa's missing a lot of key players but our depth will be hungry to step up in their absence. Ullmark is going to play well. I'm feeling a win tonight.
