Maybe a little under appreciated but McCabe is having a great game and I thought he looked really good vs Detroit as well.

Could be that he has good chemistry with Giordano. But with him, Domi, and Bertuzzi finding their games the team’s outlook looks a lot more positive than it did a few weeks ago.

I know a lot of people don't like expected goals... but this feels like it perfectly shows how the period went.

We were far from a no show in the first 8 mins. We’ve played really uneven periods this year, this one wasn’t really that imo. Now don’t get me wrong we took over in the second half, but we had an excellent powerplay, 2 posts and a few more shots in the first 8. Could be better, as shown by the back half, but far from a no show.

This is pretty much it. I still don’t think Marner has the speed to up his game when the checking gets tighter. That’s just my opinion. It would need to be for a top defender, not just handing him away

McCabe looked good with Liljegren too... I feel like he only looked bad with Klingberg.

At what point in the game do we take our usual "too many men" penalty?

Nice to see the boys work off those Swedish meatballs after the first 10 minutes.

Definitely looked a lot better with Liljegren, I just thought last game was his best and today has been the best period I’ve seen from him. Just my opinion!

Hard for anyone to play with Klingberg, guy has no idea how to position

Dubas can be criticized on many things, but whatever changed with scouting when he came in should be praised...

This is the first time in a while that it feels like we are a good team and also have some ELCs to help out in the next few years.
 
Finally playing like we are suppose to. When 1st line ain't going, the 2nd is, and vice versa.

Also a pretty good offensive 3rd line to mop up against other teams bottom 6s.
