I mean, it was clear that Knies was not a Dubas pick... Dubas like most GMs pick their staff though and he trusted them... he should be credited for trusting them and putting them in place... I have been super impressed with our drafting compared to years past.

Finding Knies, Robertson, Cowen, Niemela, Minten, and Grebyokin (probably wrong spelling), all outside of the top 25 (I think Cowen was 28), is a pretty good record.

Who knows if they all work out... but he should definitely be credited for overhauling the scouting department from the Lou/Hunter drafts.

John Ssssshhhhaaanon told us why they did that and it made sense for the times.

At this point they could do like the sideline reporter and make up the story and no one would be worse for wear.

I still maintain out of all the major sports, the NHL refs are the most inconsistent.
